Incidentally I just rang P4U upgrades and they quoted me the 18 month 300 mins/unlimited text plus data (didn't specify how much data) though for £36 a month and no charge for the handset.

Yea that's what they said to me.

'Data' is 500mb and 2gb of BT openzone.

Do it, it's a very good offer.

Re: Google Galaxy Nexus

I must admit its tempting. My current contract is £31 a month for 250 mins/100txt/500MB data so a £5 jump for 50 mins and uncapped texts. Although I doubt i'd get this handset with zero upfront contribution on that tariff.

The only other thing I was partly considering was a Galaxy S II if you can get a very good deal on that and then wait for the ICS update.

So essentially there is bug free stock being sent to retailers. This means that Vodafone can sell it any time they want now.

It will be interesting to see if they have an excuse for not putting it out this week. They cannot say testing again, could they?

They could say anything they want mcav:  they have done so already :smileywink:

Although if it isn't released by them very soon now that bug free stock is at retailers I think i'll go to P4U/CPW - because it appears they're deals are good and I can get a free gift out of them :smileyhappy:  PS3 please :smileywink:

Re: Google Galaxy Nexus

Does anyone know offhand if P4U ship to an alternate address by the way? Or are they strictly cardholders address only?

If they wanna double-check the fix they might hold out again. Do yourself a favour and get it elsewhere, even if you wanna stay on Vodafone

[ Edited ]

I am giving them the chance to put the phone out by the 2nd of December before I make any decisions.

Having a look round - the usual suspects seem to have plenty stock now - well except for Voda.

Re: Google Galaxy Nexus

Sorry for double post. I cannot edit the post above.

I saw this and it makes me a little more comfortable that Voda will have this out soon.

Google would not point you to Vodafone if they were not going to stock it.

Would they?

Re: Google Galaxy Nexus

Sorry guys! :smileyhappy:

If you're happy with Vodafone then I can't see any valid reason to wait on them to release it directly. Unless you can get some awesome deal you might as well get it elsewhere. I will be come January

Re: Google Galaxy Nexus

So far as I can tell, the Vodafone logo was there, but did not link to Vodafone's site as initially, Google were only promoting it as available from Phones 4 U.

In either case, I doubt that Google would advertise that Vodafone are going to sell it if they are not going to.

Blergh.....

Google just link back to the coming soon page.

Innterestingly all the reviews have been removed from the Galaxy Nexus, and there is no longer an option to add a review!

Re: Google Galaxy Nexus

V
odafone Ireland are selling the Galaxy Nexus!!!

WTF are Vodafone UK playing about at?
Are they deliberately trying to lose customers?
