Would you not rather have this than having several Vodafone apps on your handset using up valuable memory?
You could just do what most others have done on here and move away from the Vodafone software, that way you will not have anything like this, and will be free from such things in the future.

Thank you for your input Rupert
All I have ever wanted from Vodafone was the service I signed the contract with Vodafone for.
A NexusOne as sold without any branding from Vodafone as the deal with updates direct from Google.
All as a customer I have received is updates to fix security issues up to six months late. The major fix to stop text messages going to the wrong contact has been out for a long time.
You call this additional SPAM forced on my telephone without my permission a development
Please Vodafone if this is the future please make it an option that you are able to opt out of.
Best regards
MM

Are u that stupid u can't see what's happening here? This isn't an app, it an addition to Googles Android Market. It's obvious Vodafone are paying Google for this to be there, and quite a good idea commercially I would think. My apps is still there, so.what's ur beef? If u want to complain try Google for allowing it in the first place, its hardly going to change ur handset usage experience is it? Or maybe you'd prefer an embedded separate shop? Jesus we are blessed with some petty habitual complainers on here. I say well done Vodafone for coming up with a good commercial idea.
Rupert,
Are you that stupid that you cannot see that people don't want this? 'My apps' is hidden in a menu where it used to be easily accessible from the front screen of the market. If this really isn't a problem, then Vodafone won't mind putting their link in the menu and restoring 'my apps' to its former position on the main screen.
I don't care how commercially sensible this is for Vodafone, I don't want it because it reduces the usability of my phone and does nothing that benefits me.
If Vodafone want to give us a shop, then they should create their own (uninstallable) app and make it available for us to install if we want it. Inflicting it upon us when we obviously don't want it is dreadful customer service and combined with everything else Vodafone keep doing will make me recommend against using Vodafone to anyone that asks.
If you enjoy Vodafone doing this, then feel free to just keep bending over and taking it and say, "thanks," afterwards. Personally, I won't take it without making some very unhappy noises.

I've gt it on my Desire - Hit menu and My apps is there.
Really don't know what all the fuss is about. If you have an unbranded machine then you still have to do the menu thing because the link, instead of being to VF is to HTC.
As Eddy says, no biggie as far as I'm concerned

Why? I have a Sony Ericsson Arc on Vodafone and I've flashed it with generic rom. I've found out that My App is replaced by Sony Ericsson!!
This means even if your operator does not change this, your handset manufacturer would di it instead. All blames should go to Google why they are allowing this. It is not a big deal, but makes us not convenienct to access My App list.

Confirms my suspicion that it's not Vodafone's fault but that Google have opened the Market to targeted suggestions. think Google might get a backlash here
