Ringtones Auto Change

Hmmmm odd this..

Was running stock 2.2, Kies told me last week the gingerbread was ready for install so like the other I did it, instead of 2.3 I ended up with 2.2.1 as other threads have already reported..

Anyway, when the update went in I found it had changed my ringtone, I changed the default back but it still played the changed one!! then I saw it had changed all the contact ringtones so I had to do each one seperate, job done..

Just got a phone call today and it has done it again, this time to a tune I was playing yesterday!!

Do I change them all back again and never play tunes again?

Re: Ringtones Auto Change

After the Update, did you do a Factory Data Reset?

There will be remnants of the old Firmware. Performing the Reset will cure this.

Backup all your stuff first.

Re: Ringtones Auto Change

@gaffers

On your internal Sd card you should have a folder called media. This is where you music is saved to.

Inside there, have you created folders called Notifications, Ringtones and Alarms.

Sounds you want to use as Notifications go in the Notifications folder Ringtones in the Ringtones folder and Alarms in the Alarms folder

Sounds in these folders will appear in the selection menu.
