Samsung 360 M1 Problems

Hey Guys,

By no means are we ignoring any comments that our customers make about the Vodafone 360 service or any other product or service that we supply.

In regards to the device running slow, are they on the latest firmware? if not I would advise updating this as it will speed up the device as well as other enhancements.

We are currently in the process of aproving a new firmware update for the device and although I can't give you any specifics, the process is going very well which means it will be made available very soon.

Samsung 360 M1 Problems

Hi Chris Mitchell,

Thanks for your continued posting.

From previous contact with yourself VIA email, we have obtained your telephone number and have just sent a new firmware update to you :)

Please be aware that on the forum's we are advising customers when new firmwares are available and could see that you were running a launch software version. There have been 2 other firmware updates since launch prior to the one I've sent you today that helped with the issues you were reporting.

Please let me know how the new firmware fairs, I have it on my handset and think it's absolutely fantastic!!!

Cheers,

Less than 3months old and I'd rather go back to my Nokia N73... the money im paying on this contract is more than an iPhone on orange so enjoy losing customers

I do not want to speak to an indian call centre I do not want to talk to anybody on a website I do not want you to make pathetic excuses for your god awful phone I want you to accept how bad the phone is and that you have a few shop assisants that you must have brain washed or offered them MASSIVE comission upon sale of the contract with this phone... complete and utter jokers.

Contact via ringing me only please thats if this phone lets me answer....

Samsung 360 M1 Problems

Hi

I also have an M1 and have also noticed how slow it is since the moment I got it working, especially after the guy in the shop explained how amazing it was supposed to be. The facebook updates were an issue until the update that took me to PDA: i6410BUIK5 but now the phone seems to randomly loose all signal for no apparent reason from time to time. The only solution is to restart the phone which takes ages because it is so slow. The signal drops even at my house where I know I can get 3G+ upstairs and 3G downstairs most of the time.

Any information as to what I can do to try and keep my signal is much appreciated.

Hey Pezzer,

Again, I'd be inclined to offer you the repair option as a first port of call.

Samsung 360 M1 Problems

I now have an M1 360 handset as it was sold to me in the store as being an amazing phone... so far I can not agree with this AT ALL!

Since having the phone I have not been able to use the 360 functions at all, even though I have tried with 2 accounts, still nothing...

I have now also spent at least £2 on numerous phone calls to technical support, I have spoken to one very helpful guy but everyone else seems to try and fob me off!

All I want to do is to be able to use the 360 functions, without it taking over a minute to 'validate my account' and then come up with a response saying, "No response from the network. Please try again later"

To add to this, the Samsung PC Suite is not working for me, I am running windows 7 and every time (I have tried 5 times) I download and install the suite it says that it can not install the drivers... if it could then maybe I could see if I could update the phone...?!?

I would appreciate it if someone can sort this out straight away as I have been a pay monthly customer for the best part of 2 years and am now starting to wonder if that was a mistake?

Regards

Samsung 360 M1 Problems

Hi rowan1816

Sorry to hear your frustration around this.

A colleague of mine has got the the Samsung H1 and he experiences this too, this is something we are working on but we expect to see improvements to this service further down the line.

I am bewildered how you have been charged to speak to our technical team, if you dial 191 from the handset this is a free call.

Here is a linkfor the latest PC suite that is fully supported by Samsung, this is something that we don't have control over.

If you have any further questions please let us know :D

Samsung 360 M1 Problems

I've being having issues with this phone since I bought it. The main issues are:

- Random disconnects on bluetooth handsfree in my car, which has no problem with the other phone that I use and my previous phone.
- General slowness, particularly around accessing and using SMS
- The call log doesn't keep up to date, at one point it was a week behind.
- Facebook updates do not work useless I restart the phone

I'm on PDA: i6410BUIK5

Some help would be appreciated

Samsung 360 M1 Problems

Hello Dean and welcome to the eForum

If you're already on the latest firmware version then the alternative may be o reset the device and start again, you can do so by typing the following code into he handset:

*2767*3855#

This will, however, erase all the information on your handset, and restore it to factory standard.

Thanks

Samsung 360 M1 Problems

Hi
I have the Samsung 360 M1 PDA I6410BUIK5

I have had some major problems the past few weeks...facebook does not keep updated and neither does hotmail which is added to my email. I now don't have any internet. The past 2 days incoming calls do not ring out...I have seen the calls appear on the screen but when I try to press accept it doesn't do anything. THe phone has become really slow with text messages too.
I went to the vodafone store near me today and the staff really didn't tell me anything very useful other than check for updates. my PC studio is telling me there are no new updates so not sure what is happening. If I have to send my phone away, do I need to back up anything and how do I do that. I have 360 which I understand should have all my contacts and photos??

thanks for any help!

Samsung 360 M1 Problems

Hello Heddared and welcome.

The 360 services will have backed up any photos taken, these will be available via your online 360 account at www.360.com, furthermore, your contacts would have synced to the 360 service.

There's not much backing up needed, however any text messages are always worth 'forwarding on' (sending to another phone) if they are important.

The reset codes mentioned in my above post may also help before sending the device off for a repair, please give them a try, fingers crossed this will resolve the current issues.

Samsung 360 M1 Problems

My M1 has failed to import any email since March 24th ( and even then it was only headers that were coming through) and that followed help from Lee at Vodafone in February. It has failed to do its job since I got it in December - that's 5 months of its failure and my patience. According to the workaround it is set up correctly but any attempt to sync brings up the message that I must log into vodafone 360 first - but I already am!

I have now received the message that I will "shortly" received the update direct to my phone - and this is what I am pinning my last hopes on. But what does "shortly" mean? ( And why do those messages from vodafone not get saved on the phone? I tried the URL from which to get more info but it was a dead end ( which does not promise well) and as the message has now disappeared from the phone I cannot totally remember the URL to try again.

I remain hopeful but not optimistic. Can anyone tell me what "shortly" means in vodafonespeak? And does the update work?

Hi jonnyh,

I imagine that is very frustrating for you, admittedly I'm no expert with 360 and the guys that are won't be back until tomorrow.

I have emailed the entire forum staff to look into this tomorrow for you so please be patient while we get you an answer.:)

Thanks

Samsung 360 M1 Problems

Hi jonnh,

I've just had a word with one of the technical advisers and they advise your phone should update automatically once you are in a 3G area within the next week or so as the updates are pushed to the handsets.

In the meantime one suggestion was to create a dummy email account on 360 and log into this for a short time, then log into your original account and see if your emails will update.

Let me know how you get on with this.:)

Thanks

Thanks Holly, but have done that ( several times) and it has made no difference. One more try later today perhaps when I've got some time. Meanwhile I'll wait with crossed fingers for the update.

I have upgraded to the latest firmware to try and resolve a few issues. (slowness, phonebook contacts messed up, msn chat not working) Now my hand set is in the vodafone shop awaiting repair. After the update, nothing mentioned above was fixed, and to add insult to it my text messages stopped working. I took it down this morning, they said leave it with us and we will reset it back to factory setting. Came back 3 hours later, and they couldnt do it. So now im with out a phone for 7-10 days as they didnt have any loan phones. This is the 4th time i have taken my phone back in 8 months.

Samsung 360 M1 Problems

Guys,

im another vodafone customer thats been having a shed load of problems with my M1. The fellas in the vodafone shop that sold it me at xmas were blatantly on commission, they couldnt say enough good stuff about it.
Since then it has been the worst phone ive ever had. It massively slow even though its had 2 firmwasre upgrades, and it JUST DOESNT WORK.

currently its not marking any of my new text messages as being read so I have 67 new texts (encounting), its not updating any of my phonebook status correctly, it crashes on a regular basis, keeps logging out pf vodafone 360 whenever it gets bored, the bluetooth doesnt work (at all), the battery lifes shocking and emails stopped working, apart from when it decided to resync at half 3 in the morning and started making a racket. If I get more then one textmessage at once it cant handle it, it locks the keypad when your making calls, or doesnt register key inputs and the list of other faults go on..and on....

Ive been into the vodafone shop to complain, the guy behind the counter couldnt have been any less interested. So im now paying XX a month for a phone that doesnt work. As a treat every now and again i keep reverting back to an old nokia that can send and recieve texts and make calls without any drama.

Vodafone must have known this phone was ###### when they were marketing it, and now Ive been told im stuck with it till the end of contract. No chance.

Will someone from vodafone customer services give me a call. Please stop trying to fob us off with having the correct firmware levels etc etc, and do the right thing by your customers, because i wont be staying on unless this gets sorted.

yours Dissappointedly,

Andy
