Hi

I am using samsung start 3g and want to configure my email message box to download my emails from gmail account. Pls help me regrading the settings . vodafone live is already active in my connection.

Hi Amit911, welcome to the eForum!

Can you confirm the actual model of handset that you have for me, as I'm having difficulty determining which settings you'll need - they're available from gmail directly but differ based on the system the device uses. Our help centre has a list of many Samsung handsets for guidance, as well as useful information for each one.

Once you've got the right shandset and deternmined what system the device uses, you can get the required configuration settings by logging into www.gmail.com and clicking "settings" in the top right-hand corner next to your email address. Once the screen loads, go to the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" tab, ensure that POP Download or IMAP access, whichever you need, is set to enabled, then click the configuration instructions link for that section. That will load a list of supported device operating systems and mail clients, from which selecting the correcty one will give you the full settings you need.

I wish I could point you the exact set, but without knowing the system I'm looking for, I can only point the way.

Thanks for addressing to my issue. Model no of my phone is samsung GT S5603. This model no is not there in your help center link.

Also i have already done the gmail settings and I can access gmail on my phone browser. But problem is I want to download mails from my gmail account in my message box. where you have message inbox in the phone there is also a email box, so when you craete an account there you can clcik on downlaod button to downlaod your emials.

That email box account is not working. I need settings for that

I have enabled pop and Imap both on my gmail account. I have entered pop.gmail.com as pop3 server for incoming server and smtp.gmail.com for smtp server for outgoing mail server. My phone also have fields for port no, which are not sepecified in gamil setting.

whenever I click on download button in my email box it says that " xxxx@gmail.com no response" . Here is xxxx is my email account ( my mail id)

which profile should i use. There are different profile and as per my knowledege vodafone live profile needs to be selected as setting for this profile was send by vodafone.

But if i follow the pdf instruction given in vodafone help forum and select the devise S500 which is quiet similar to my device ( my devise is GT S5603) , then as per instruction they asked to create a new profile by the name vodafone web. I craeted that profile and filled all the fields as suggested in the pdf . but it didn't work, i reciebve an eroor message connection failed.

and if I connect using vodafone live profile then I get a message xxx@gmail.com no response

your.isps.pop3.server.com.................This is give for incomining mail server pop 3....I am using vodafone connection in india.... so pls tell me what will be this.

Also let me clarify you again mey internet is working onn my phone as vodafone live service is active on it. I can browse website.

But here i am srtuggling problem with downloading mails in my meesage box in email box folder
