I have the same thing on my blackberry phone. Keep getting charges for wap service that i never use. Same time at 0.00 hours. Would like to bar the gprs, if someone can help, thanks Jane

Hi

My daughter has a Samsung Monte GT-S5620 and is looking for a setting to turn mobile data on/off via the handset, like most other handsets have, but can’t find it!

We use the widgets, email polling etc via WiFi, but don’t want them auto connecting via the mobile network. However, we also don’t want mobile data entirely de-activated as on specific occasions we need to use these when on the network.

Any advice on settings would be great.

This is certainly possible and the way to do this can be found on page 71 of the manual.

This can be located on our Help Centre for the Samsung Monte.

Please can you send me instructions to turn off the internet access via the mobile network.

I'm happy to have access via WIFI, but I do not want it via the (chargeable!) mobile network.

Thanks for your post. If you want to completely remove the ability to connect to data via the mobile network then please follow the instructions as below:

Menu > Settings > Connectivity > Network > Connections

You'll then be presented with a list of connections and from the options menu select Delete. Tick the 'Delete All' box and this will remove all data connections.
