Hi, I've just got a Samsung Monte on PAYT, the only info I get from GPS is latitude, longitude and altitude (clear view of sky with 8 satelites)I can't find GPS+ settings. I have read about "turning on latitude", how do I do this and will it solve this problem? Thanks

Hi James, I was expecting more from the GPS than just longitude/latitude, I thought it may have been like my hand held GPS I use for walking, I was expecting it to show my location on a map. Do I need to download something extra in order for this to happen? If so can you recommend anything ? Thanks again

Hi cay
The GPS is just a tool that plots your position. If you want to use this position and plot it on a map, you need to add an app that has this facility, and it will use the GPS to do that.
It's not really my place to advice which app is best for this, but if you do a search in the app market for say "navigation", it should show a selection of compatible apps, some free , some chargeable.
Maybe one of our members can advise or recommend one for you?
Let me know how you get on.
