Samsung Note 4 Update 5.1.1.

Hi,

I have recently updated my Samsung Note 4 with the new software update of 5.1.1.

I am now finding that my battery is draining and I am losing 50% battery in 3 hours.  Before the update, the phone was great!  The battery would last over a day even with alot of use.

What do you recommend?

Thanks

Nikki

Hi, the first thing to try is a factory reset and see it that helps.

Will that take the Software update off?

Thats in the back up and reset section, then factory data reset? Is that correct?

Thank you

A reset is designed as a kind of Spring clean to remove redundant files.

Be Aware it can also delete saved data in the phones memory.

It does not rollback the phone to the previous firmware.

Thank you very much for your help.

I am just factory resetting it - hopefully this will work!

The guy in the Vodafone shop kept telling me that it was because I had wi-fi on!! But I do not agree!!

Fingers crossed!

Hi, no it won't remove the update but it will remove any remnants of the old firmware that can cause problems, this often happens with Samsung's for some reason.

Make sure you have backed up everything you need as your phone will be returned to an out of the box state.
