Hi guys,

I had a lot of text messages in my inbox from one specific person which I was keeping for a reason. I've just received another 2 texts from that person and it says 2 new messaages so I go to my inbox however it only displays 1 text message and every other message that I've been saving from this person has gone. Any ideas?

It says it's in my inbox as there is the blue 1 in brackets next ti inbox but I definitely can't see it!!

Hmmm, sounds strange to me!

This sounds like you have a faulty phone, you may want to keep an eye on this and see if it occurs again, if it does I’m afraid that you will have to get the phone sent away for repair.

There are a number of ways you can get your handset sent away for repair, check out this repairs thread for further details.

Have you tried a battery pull on the phone, there is a good chance that the handset will acknowledge the SMS this way.

can you help?

i noticed that no texts were coming through to my omnia which was strange because twitter updates should come through. My phone could send them but not it wont do that. I turned it on yesterday and all the texts from the past few days came through (about 100) but the phone still will not send or recieve. It is not where i am because other vodafone phones work in the same area. I can make and recieve calls and i have not changed any of the settings. Can someone please help me? :excl:

This is slightly strange,

I'm confused when you say you received 100 texts but you still can't receive? Can you clarify what you mean?

It sounds like your SIM isn't updating on the network. Can you try a manual roam for me, selecting a different network on your first search and then Vodafone on the second search. This will force your SIM back on the network and update you. The process on how to do is set out below and you can also find it in the Omnia pages of the Help Centre.

Tap Start
Tap Settings
Tap Phone
Tap Network
Tap the Network selection drop down arrow
Tap Manual
Tap the Network you want, tap ok.

Let me know how you get on, I can look into this further if the problem persists.
