Samsung Wave - e-mail advice?

Does anyone know how to get a Wave to receive e-mail automatically, instead of going into the menu and clicking the icon?

Got a googlemail account set up, that will download e-mail when touched, but how do you get it to check automatically, and give a warning?

Hi robinhood1701

You can set up Push email on the Wave, and I've linked a Samsung help video which gives easy instructions on how to do this.

Let me know if you've any further issues.

After watching the very good video at least three times, and trying the settings twice, that is exactly what I get.
To me that points to Vodafone's network?

Brand new? Within seven days? Get a exchange, better half uses ours, overall very good phone, try a master reset?

Before you do a Factory or Master reset, be aware you will loose all your stuff like, contacts, photos, music etc

Found this-

Reset memory of Samsung Cell Phone, press *2767*3855# (SIM card out/no SIM card when you reset)

Might take a while to complete, but will put everything back to original, and might sort your prob, make sure you back ur stuff up, be carefull.

Samsung Wave - e-mail advice?

Hi SneakySnufflez,

I must admit that this is a strange one, can you confirm if you have tried using gmail as well as googlemail to enter the email address?

Also are you able to access the internet normally?

If you can let me know I will pass this thread onto the day team to look inot further for you.

hey

yes i have tried using googlemail, as well as just gmail. it won't let me set up any e-mail account. and when i touch the samsung app button, to go to the app store, it is just non-responsive....

i can access the internet normally, and my facebook and twitter feeds update normally on the widgets... so don't understand why the e-mail and app store won't work???

Samsung Wave - e-mail advice?

Hi SneakySnufflez

Have you tried a factory reset?

I suspect there is a software glitch on your phone if a factory reset doesn't fix this, I would suggest a repair.

Thanks
