One of the reasons I bought a Vodafone PAYG phone was that after a year they will unlock your phone according to their website. But having requested an unlock code at the beginning of March I am still waiting. Vodafone blame Samsung, so I went to My Samsung support, who say they have nothing to do with unlock codes, and it is entirely up to Vodafone. I told Vodafone this, but they ignored it and simply repeated that they are dependent on the manufacturer. The moral of the story, since I don't know who is correct, is - don't buy Samsung, and don't use Vodafone. Between them, they leave you in the lurch.

Welcome to the Vodafone eForum from all of the team.
When it comes to an unlock code for a Samsung device it will normally take 16 working days.
As this has now passed you should have received the NUC code, as you have not yet received this please can you let me know if you were given a reference for you unlock code request?
If not please follow the instructions on the PM so that we can raise a new request for you, alternatively this can also be requested online.
