I have just got off the phone from the online upgrades centre and they have told me sony sent them an update last night that the sony ericsson Arc and Play is now being released on Monday 11th so all who ordered should recieve them by Tues/Wed next week.

Thank God!!! As vodafone have mucked up my contact details they havent been updating me so ive had to ring them every day to find out whats going on! its unbelievable, ive actually got my phone cover and everything before i actually get my phone, roll on next tues/wednesday!

But at least we all know where we are now for once!

Nice one dude... Although the play has already been released and most people have them.. Its just our Arcs that are waiting. Best book the day off at the office then.

Well sam-glos...I will beleive it when I see it...According to Tom who posted this message http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Xperia-Arc-and-Play/Xperia-Play-and-Arc-availability/td-p/703293 last night there was not mention of it being on the 11th. So I for one wont be holding my breath on that one...UNLESS one of the mods can confirm this which I doubt very very much!!!!!!!

Well i have not long recieved this email from them so dont get your hopes im guys :-(

Sony Ericsson have advised us that there are ongoing shipping issues for the Xperia™ arc. Unfortunatley, this means your order has been delayed.

We are working closely with Sony Ericsson to clarify delivery details as soon as possible. We will be in touch again when we have more information.

Some of us are getting that email, with the voucher, and others not. Not that it matters to me, I'd rather have concrete information about when I will receive the product I have paid for.

Well seems they dont know when deliverey is as i have just had this email from them

We are currently investigating when we will be receiving new stock to be able to confirm an exact delivery date.  However on the website it does state that there is a 1-2 week wait for this handset to arrive

And i didnt say 1-2weeks wait when i pre ordered this phone

Just had a message from the v-store team saying there is a 1-2 week delay for the handset, although they have told me I can change it, not sure how true that is though, as it is an upgrade. Dissapointing news really. I'm either gonna be waiting in limbo for 1-2 weeks, in the short term, or will get the chance to change. But the catch 22 is that no other handset really tickles my fancy at the moment.

I just spoke to someone from the upgrade department and he said that they have a limited stock of arcs and are trying to get them sent out to people asap, but they are still waiting for SE to send them more phones as they only sent them a limited amount. Most likley being on monday so we should recieve them by tuesday, but this is a best case scenario.

sony upgrade team told me yesterday, due to the problems in japan sony are having trouble getting componants for there phones this is why they havent received the arc shipment yet, sounds like they have no idea when or if they are going to receive shipment next week, this needs sorting out vodafone you have so many unhappy cutomers including me, im gonna wait til the end of next week then if nothing im moving

im just giving up and waiting because i no as soon as i swap and receive the other fone then the arc will become available
