Bootloader unlock

Why dont vodafone allow the bootloader of the Z3 compact to be unlocked using sonys tool?

While we won't stop customers from using the bootloader, we'll be unable to arrange any repairs if you decide to go down that route. 

We're only able to support the warranty on devices that are using approved software. You'd still be able to approach Sony directly though.

Ok, tho even if I wanted to unlock using sonys unlock tool, I couldn't as Vodafone have disabled that function.(check the service menu -> configuration and bootloader unlock allowed status)
