Hi Everybody.

Got a couple of issues.  I upgraded from 1.6 to 2.1 (probably like everybody else) and had a few issues with texting etc and then i repaired the upgrade after looking on here.  My issues are

What is the Social Phonebook and where can it be found as with 1.6 i could link idrectly to facebook when i added a contact but on 2.1you carnt (previous contacts are linked but new ones arent)

Do you have to enter firstname and surname for it to link correctly to facebook

When i go to send a text i have got everybody that is in my phone book and my facebook phonebook in the list how can i change this to just my phonebook

How can i transfer all my contacts to my simcard from my google account and vice versa

Right.

When in yourphoen book hit the button in the top left corner (looks like 3 silhouettes) Once you're in there you can select which contacts to display (Phone, Google, Facebook Timescape and Facebook <email>). I'm not 100% sure what the difference is between the 2 different facebook options.

What you will also need to do is, from the hoempage, go to: Settings>Accounts & Sync. Enable background data and auto sync, also enable sync on both facebook and google. once this is done your phoen book will match phoen contacts to facebok contacts (assumign they have the same name). it will also auto-update contact pics and status updates and incluse contact infrom from facebook in the phonebook.

if the facebook contact has a different name to the phoen contact it is possibel to manually link them by holding doen on the contact and hittign the "Join contact" option, this sometimes brigns up the right facebook contact to link it to. But i think it defaults to using the facebook contcat name instaed of the phoen book. in my case after i did this my Wife appeared in my phone book under her full name instead of "Vicky mobile"

For putting the contacts on the memory card. Once you have your phonebook showing all your contacts, just use the Backup/Restore spp to backup your contacts to the card.


Hope this helps. There might be a more elegant or tidier way to do this but once i did this everything seemed to work ok so i stopped playing.
