Editing Contacts

Ive recently got the X10 after having the Samsung H1 previously, On the H1 I had all my contacts on the 360 service, now I want to be able to get all my contacts on the X10, Ive downloaded the 360 people app but then I cannot edit any contacts, How can I get round this?

Thanks

Re: Editing Contacts

Hi greenhillno1

I'm sure we can help with this query, but I need a little more information firstly. :smileyhappy:

Have you managed to get the 360 app on the X10, and sync the contacts to the device?

I just want to clarify if the issue is with getting the contacts to the device, or the editing of the contacts once they've been syncronised.

Is it in the 360 app, or the X10 contacts that you are haiving the issue?

If you can post a reply to these questions, I'll be better equipped to assist.

Regards

Re: Editing Contacts

Yep, I've got the 360 people app and then go through the stages of installing it and it says 'your phones address book will be backed up and synced', Facebook and Windows Live messenger is ticked and i go to 'next' and it starts syncing. Then if I display only the 360 contacts not all of them come through, and if I try to edit them  it says '360 people contact information is not editable on this device.

The issue is a bit of both, Not all the contacts are coming through and I cannot edit them, The same is the problem for Facebook contacts coming through, I cant edit them either and its in the X10 contacts that im having an issue

Re: Editing Contacts

Hi greenhillno1

The 360 contacts can only be edited via the 360 app, or online, if logged into the 360 website. They will show on the contacts in the X10, but not edit. This isn't a fault, but the way it's designed.

Can you edit OK via the 360 app, and the 360 website?

It would be good practice to check the site, as this will show exactly what contacts are backed up.

Let me know how you get on.

Re: Editing Contacts

Ok fair enough, I thought I start from fresh, Removed FB account, removed Twitter account and 360 account. I started off by downloading the 360 people app and letting it sync my contacts but only a very small number of them are coming through. Any reason why? Really frustrating

[ Edited ]

Ok..I started from beginning...Wiped all contacts from Sim, wiped all accounts on X10 (would of done a hard/factory reset but dont know how to). Downloaded 360 people app, installed, sync'd but nothing is displaying on my contacts (Yes I have it set to display 360 contacts) After all the trouble I had with my H1 and my previous X10, Im getting fed up with using ###### phones.

I just want all my contacts on my Vodafone 360 to come up on my phone....Thats all I want

Re: Editing Contacts

Hi greenhillno1

I'm sorry to ask this again, but have you logged into your 360 account online?

I just need you to check what is backed up here, as this is what will be synced with the device. It may be the contacts rae not backed up to be synced, or they are there, and they are not syncing with the app on your device.

If you can clear this up for me, I'll know how to best tackle this issue.

Re: Editing Contacts

Yep, everything is on my 360 account online, thats what I wanted to come onto my phone, but dont worry, Its not going to get solved without me sending off for another repair so Ill just manually enter each contact.

Re: Editing Contacts

Have you got a gmail acount? if so then just enter all yoru contacts into your gmail contact folder online (will eb quickler than doign it ont he phone), then just tick all the optiosn for syncing with Google and that will get the job done for you. it does mean manually entergn them this time but it will also cover you in the future if you lose your phone contacts again. The google account will also sync contact pics as well.
