Ericsson G30

This device is installed on a vessel and is required for health & safety.

I inserted a Vodaphone SIM card and attempted a call. It gave me a dial tone but any number I dialled gave a busy signal. Nor could I dial in.

Can you help me get it going ?

Hi SimonGulliver

Welcome aboard the wonderful world of the eForum! :D

You've certainly got me puzzled with this one!

Where did you get the device from? My first thought is that it's locked to certain SIM cards so won't allow the Vodafone SIM to connect to the network.
Have you ever had a Vodafone SIM working in there before? Or are you able to try another SIM in the phone to see if that will allow calls?

If you can let me know some of this information we'll have a better idea of what's going to get you back up and running in no time! And I'm confident that if any of our other forum members have any suggestions they'll be more than happy to help out too. ;)

Years after the initial message it seems I am stuck in another probelem. I cannot locate a system interface cable for Ericsson g36e. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Ebay and Amazon are dead leads.

Thank you.

I'm afraid that this isn't a product that Vodafone ranges so you probably aren't going to get the best support on this forum.  Doing a search for the device on Google seems to reveal more specialised forums where you would probably be better off asking your question.  There are also places which sell this device so it may be worth asking them if they can provide you with a cable.
