Gingerbread update

Having difficulties upgrading my android software to 2.3 from 2.2. SE PC Companion tells me an upgrade is available. Whenever I connect via USB in that programme to upgrade, the upgrade fails half way through. Have tried restarting the computer, phone etc. Even re-installed PC Companion, but no luck.

 

Has anyone else had this problem?

couple of things you can try.

 

Use Sony's Update Service: 

http://www.sonyericsson.com/updateservice

 

or you can download the Update Service program directly to run

from your PC:

http://dl-www.sonyericsson.com/cws/download/1/110/61/1309763183/Update_Service_Setup-2.11.7.13.exe

The second of those options worked perfectly.
