Happened before and has happened again. Sick of this faulty phone

In November of last year I purchased the Sony Ericsson Txt as the phone I had been using on contract had become very slow to use. I have had several problems with it since then, I have had to replace my SIM card as I was unable to send or recieve messages.

The current issue that I have is that when I send a text to someone it is arriving two or three hours after I have sent it, what annoys me is that last week my texts would go through very quickly to people and get quick replies. Now it is doing the opposite and this is frustrating when I rely on my phone to communicate with people I don't see often.

I have deleted my messages to see if that helps and reset the phone but that hasn't helped at all. My question is this: Has the Sony Ericsson TXT been pulled from your shelves? I seen it is no longer for sale in the store and if the phone needs repairing and ultimately replacing I do not want to have another version of the Sony Ericsson TXT. I have tried my SIM Card in my previous phone and it seems to be working better

I know my SIM only contract runs out later this month and I know that I can upgrade but with me being on a £10 a month contract the phones offered are very basic and would not be the step up that I think I need now. Whereas on other networks you can easily get a smartphone on a similar contract for the same price. It would make sense for me to stay with you guys, me and my family have been customers for a long time but at the moment the fact that my phone is playing up again is making me consider whether I want to stay with you. The fact that you offer very basic phones for a plan that is exactly what I need is very insulting, you should at least have options for smart phones to be used on that type of contract. Sometimes people don't need the fancy add ons that you suggest.

Some help and advice right now would be brilliant as I want to get this sorted out ASAP.

Re: Happened before and has happened again. Sick of this faulty phone

Hi ToonPigeon,

Thanks for getting in touch! I'm sorry to see you're struggling with your current device. The Sony Ericsson TXT isn't a handset I'm familiar with. Is it a Vodafone UK sourced product or did you get the handset third party? The supplier should still be able to assist you with the warranty on the phone should you need to arrange for a repair.

If however you're looking for a pay monthly upgrade, feel free to email my team by using the instructions I've sent via private message. You can find your PM inbox here. :smileyhappy:

Cheers, Ben

Re: Happened before and has happened again. Sick of this faulty phone

Hi,

I bought it from my local vodafone store, I still have the gurantee etc. I know I am due an upgrade and that may sort it out. But can you offer any explanation as to why my texts are getting to people 2/3 hours after I have sent them?

Issue with my texts getting sent to people

I posted yesterday about perhaps having a faulty phone but I think this is more to do with your network. Now up until the last few days my texts to several contacts on different networks had been going through very quickly to them and a response from them was almost instant.

Since Saturday my texts have been recieved by people 2/3 hours after I have sent them. This has happened every day since then with people on different networks. I have updated my phone which is a Sony Ericsson TXT, resetted the phone and cleared my phone of all my messages. This seems to make no difference, the person who recieves the texts has done the same process on a different network and has recieved no texts from me. I know it is not the SIM card as I had that replaced in December.

I would like this issue to be sorted out ASAP, I know my contract is up later this month and I would like proof that it is worth staying with you. I just don't understand why my texts aren't getting recieved and getting through to people 2-3 hours late.

Re: Issues with contacts getting my texts

Hi ToonPigeon

Thanks for your post here.

I’ll be happy to have a closer look at this for you but it is worth bearing in mind that text messages can take up to 24 hours to deliver and are very dependant on the congestion on the network at the time of sending.

Like I said though, I’ll be happy to have a look at this for you and I’m sure we’ll be able to offer an explanation for this. I’ll send you a private message over explaining how to get into contact with us directly.

You can find your PM inbox here

Thanks

Wayne
