ok...... so after alot of aologies and general conversation, i was read the official email which has come SE to vodafone

dated the 7th April (last week), The official release date for the Arc was not given but, they have said that it was definately going to be released next week (this week). This is due to stock problem the few companys which have had them in stock will now be put to the bottom of the waiting list for their next shipment. It also said that VF are first in line for the shipment. 

so not great news but it is solid information straight from the top! 

oh and those who have ordered via the web relations team will be getting their stock the same time as the pre ordered departments because they cant pre order their phone wih out influencing the price plans so the orders with the web relations team will be fore-filled the same time as the preorders

This is great news, lets hope I get my phone soon! Oddly though I asked for an update via customer services contact got a reply 36 hrs later saying they could see i had upgraded in march but no record of ordering my xperia, however before that I received an email stating that i would be getting a £20 voucher due to the delays over my order of the xperia arc? Someone in vodafone has know idea what is going on.

I just hope I do get my phone soon.

Yeah voda don't have a clue. After changing my Arc upgrade to a Desire S I was informed it would be with me here tomorrow. Well still nothing from them, not even a dispatch email.... Getting deja vu all over again!

Well looks like they finally telling all there customers same thing as i have just phoned and been told that they are having deliverey this week, but dont know the exact day, and that as i am a pre order customer i am priorty over the others and shall get mine first others have 3-4 week i believe is what he said as the line went quite

First one to get a despatch email is gonna get me so excited I may wet myself... That's how sad ive become waiting for this phone..

Had one chat to someone at customer services who told me he did'nt know if my desire had been dispatched. Rang again and got someone nice who told me my order had been dispatched, but he was confused as it said the Arc. I laughed and told him I hope for some of the guys on the forum who are waiting for it, that it wasn't.

He confirmed my Desire S should be here today, but said it was a shame about the Arc and quoted 2-4 weeks. Hope its not that long for you lot!

I'm assumin (and hoping) that that was a quote for new orders of the Arc and not already pre-ordered ones... but whos really got a scooby whats going on.. certainly not Vodafone. lol

I got 2-4 weeks for new orders and pre-orders will go out as priority this week when the deliverey has come in

I've just been looking on the xperia blog forum and apparently the camera has no zoom at 6mp or 8mp only 2mp... thats a step backwards isnt it?

no its not, because if you look at all phones it says 2x zoom which basically makes the picture bigger and lowers the mp's. so if you zoom in at 4mp you will get about 6mp once it focused. only way you will get a real zoom is on a camera with a lens
