New satio firmware on its way ..

Dear Vodafone,

As were are all so annoyed at this incident (and the well documented issues with the Satio), would there be a possibilty that someone can get their phone changed whilst still in contract?

As I only renewed my contract in January on a 2 year contract, I am not relishing being stuck with this phone for another 20 months.

The main reason for getting this phone in the first place was for the excellant camera, but sometimes the issues outweigh the benefits, the choice of apps are rubbish (on Vodafone Apps and Play Now), the speed could be better, the battery life is a dissapointment, the GPS is awful (I live in London so should get a good signal).

Regards

Case by case basis my friend... the mods will obviously back up policy however, your best bet is to speak to someone at Vodafone and get your complaint logged... Others I understand on here have had their handsets changed to the Iphone (from memory)

You just have to put the effort in to get what you want

yup, it's quite good. I think it's faster too & my phone hasn't crashed yet.

Yeah but I haven't noticed anything different apart from 'conversations' is available above your inbox.
Does anyone know if received texts can be opened in the conversation thread by default?

I feel exactly the same! I joined on the day this phone came out and I either want to leave or get a different phone..

Phone much quicker for me since the update. Noticed it more so with the media player which could lag before.

Just got round to flashing my satio...... what a difference, its more responsive doesnt freeze or lock up anymore the WVGA is excellent even though the recording was very good anyway. The extra apps. are cool especially the media server. Glad I persevered with it, it is now the phone it should have been at launch. Happy Days.

Just open the app, click start and connect to ur wireless network, and if you have a playstation 3 (or any DLNA supported device) it will automatically detect your phone and you can view/copy your photos from your phone.

doesnt work with video files only photos ....

If I'm very lucky mine lasts 2 days at a push but normally I seem to be getting about a days usage from it.
I thought the update was meant to sort this sort of thing? :(

The improved battery was one of the reasons I would have liked to go for the update but I just can't take the risk of losing the hacking ability as that just adds so much to the phone and would be a huge loss. I bought a spare battery last week so the battery issue is not so much of a concern right now.
