Hi MichaelGreen, Welcome to the eForum :smileyhappy:

We have indeed discontinued the Arc S as we're constantly updating and inproving our range of devices to try and keep as current as possible :smileywink:

If there's another handset you'd like, or if you'd simply like a chat about your alternative options, click here to email us and we'll be in touch as soon as we can :smileyhappy:

Re: SE Experia arc S

this reply from the tech team seems very strange as i have been told that they are getting them in by customer service. i was due a new contract and when i saw that they had no sony ericsson phones phoned for my pac code and was told internet was wrong and would have my arc s next day that was on 11/01/12 still not got it every time i phone get told it will be here tomorrow. so if what the tech team say is correct i will be calling to cancell my 2 contracts and if they say i cant as it is more than 2 weeks since i started my contract it looks like i will have to take it further

I think the problem is that VF are saying they don't stock SE phones due to Sony buying out the Ericsson part of the business, so all new Xperia phones will have the Sony name rather than Sony Ericsson. As far as stock is concerned there seem to be differing reports flying around but it seems clear that if you've ordered the phone two weeks ago and still no joy I'd be on to customer services for some sort of explanation and look at compensation for messing you about.

Re: SE Experia arc S

Good Afternoon rosco,

The information Paul has supplied is correct, I'm afraid we have stopped selling the Arc S.

Please reply to the email I've just sent and a member of the team will be in touch to discuss the options.

All the best,

Kay

Re: SE Experia arc S

customer service have not got a clue phoned them tonight first they said they had them next they said they didnt. they said i could have samsung s + i said no but would like the s 2 they said it was the same phone which it is not according to comparison site. it took 15 mins to get that far so by this time it was 8 oclock and the phone went dead and message said call back tomorrow. if he had listened in the first place it would have been sorted before 8 oclock.

Re: SE Experia arc S

been on the phone for one hour today spoke to six different people still not sorted they said phone back tomorrow so will give it one last try if not it looks like off to three. when you phone up it should not be called customer service as it is clearly not. it is people on the other end of the phone just going through the motions

Re: SE Experia arc S

You could look at getting your SE Xperia Arc S on Vodafone via Dialaphone, as I did.

Free phone, 12 month contract, 300mins, unlimited texts, 500mb data, £36 per month, plus 4 months worth of line rental refunded over the year by redemption, giving an overall monthly cost of c.£24.

Order it through Quidco for more cashback.

Great phone, and definitely an attractive option with the 12 month contract.  ICS expected for it c. April.

Cheers,

Guy :smileyhappy:

Re: SE Experia arc S

i did try to get it through dialaphone but would not give me a deal and let me keep my old number. the deal is only available to new numbers to vodaphone and as i need my number for my work i have to keep number.so i have decided to get samsung galaxy s2 instead although i still think the arc is better. was half way through ordering the arc on three when vodafone called me 10 mins later and i would have got it on three but would have had to get it in store

Re: SE Experia arc S

I was 3 weeks trying to get an answer from Vodafone customers service, each time at least for 1 hour over the phone with no conclusive answer. Customer service does not have a clue about what is happening. Some of them said they were expecting to have a delivery of Sony Ericcson experia arc S at the begining of week 7th Feb from there so many different answers. My upgrate date was moved as well and I was told that I needed to wait another 2 weeks. And to get those confusing answers I had to explain my interest in upgrading my phone to at last 10 different people.

Re: SE Experia arc S

Good Morning vodafone11,

Welcome to the eForum. :smileyhappy:

I'm afraid we won't be having the Sony Ericsson Arc S back in stock. Is there any other handset you're interested in?

Please follow the instructions in the private message I've just sent and a member of the team will be in touch as soon as possible.

You can find your PM inbox here.

Best Wishes,

Kay
