i found the download for it somewhere online when i was searching around...think it may have been for nokia 5800 but opens ok and runs....just dosent seem to have the ability to download.

Have found now though that the streaming is better if i just use the browser to bring up iplayer as if it was a bookmark

Hi hpsauce37/pete_2

I'm glad to see that you've found a way to use the iPlayer on the Satio.

There's also a few other suggestions/work arounds on this thread.

Please let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks

Re-install the OS. This have more or less been proven to sort most crashing issues out.

I don't understand..................LOL
Downloading of iplayer should not be necessary. Mine worked straight from the box.
Just went to WEB...searched iplayer...then it took me to site. Clicked on programme and it played.
YEP...connection gets lost every now and then but less so after rebooting OS.
. And i can watch 2 or 3 programmes without issues. A forth is pushing it though. Phone usually freezes at this point.
TURN OFF>>>turn on. Used to that with the pc's at work though.
I can even download programmes to view later, listen to live tv ( bit under water pic and sound ) and digital radio.
Got radio 7 on live right now.
I used to loose connection if a text came through but since OS this only happens now when my connection is weak.
I've even watched iplayer on a decent 3g signal. Bit blocky in parts but watchable on the whole.

STILL MIFFED VODA HAVE NOT SORTED OUT APP STORE.........I'm am a customer not a number

Finally managed to get iPlayer to work by changing to 'WAP Services' as my connection.

The picture quality is pretty poor via the app I've downloaded, but it's certainly a start

For best picture u need INTERNET settings and wifi connection. With it on WAP the likely hood is that ur streaming via 3g which is not fast enough unless its an excellent connection.
For those needing to stop a little crashing update from SE site but remember to back phones memory up first.

PS......WHERE@S THE APP STORE VODA...........still very quite on this answer !!!!!!!!!!!

If I connect using internet settings (not WiFi), I'm presented with an error message saying that I need to use a WiFi connection to play content.

The only way I can play content whilst outside of a WiFi hotspot is to use WAP.

Hi Mutley,

The Vodafone App Store is coming! It's been escalated and investigated, and I'm confident resolution is close! We certainly appreciate how frustrating this is, and how eager everyone is to try this out.

Hey Marc_H.

I think I'm confused!

You said that changing to WAP connection works when away from wifi coverage - this is exactly how it should be. 'Internet' setting are for our contract internet APN, and is exactly the same in terms of picture quality and streaming speed as WAP. So great news - you're already setup ;)

Let us know if you need anything else!

You dont need to change APN or any settings for wifi - you just need to make sure it's set as priority 1 in both destinations.

I've managed to stream a perfectly watchable video on only two bars of an HSDPA signal with the WAP APN. When usings a mobile signal, you must use the WAP profile, Internet will not work.

Best bet to stop the crashing is to use 'repair' in PC Suite and reload the phone's OS.
