Top up problem.

I know there are a lot of messages about this already but I also have a similar problem. I bought a Vita in store yesterday and the man in the store was very unsure when I asked him about the free Wipeout game. He told me that I had to top up 5 pounds with him there and then, so I ended up paying £195 for my vita and sim card. He told me he would put it on to the sim card, but the system was down he told me so it never went on, I still have the voucer code but cannot use it because I cannot sign up for MyAccount because of a 'business exception' please help me. Also, when trying to top my Vita up online, I cannot use my Visa debit because it says that the card number does not match the type of card, so I tried the workaround of Visa electron, but nop. And I tried all forms of the visa, but nothing. Please help me, I did not buy a game because I was hoping to have Wipeout 2048 to play with until resistance came out in a few days. Thank you.

Re: Sony PlayStation Vita WipEout 2048 Offer

After failing time and time again on the Vita itself - I now know it was because I used a debit card (Thanks Vodafone for this not working!) - I managed to top up the SIM via a PC web browser (as it says was acceptable in the terms and conditions!) rather than on the Vita. As I followed the instructions on your web site, namely:

"3. The top up must be made online via the PlayStation Vita device or the Vodafone website (either through Top Up online or the Vodafone My Account site)." -- terms and conditions popup from http://www.vodafone.co.uk/personal/mobile-internet/gaming-devices/index.htm

I would now like my WipeOut download please. I have waited several days and not received this.

Still not heard back. Others have had a response the same day, or the day after.

Top up instructions for PS Vita and free game code

[This is a repost from http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Sony/Sony-PlayStation-Vita-WipEout-2048-Offer/m-p/1122547 as I am concerned that being at the end of a series of other messages, it has gotten lost]

[End of repost]

Given that this and several other problems are ALL over this eForum, it would seem that Vita support is partial at best, with constant complainers being told they will get a PM, which does not benefit other forum members. Instructions on how to earn the free game, contradict the terms and conditions quoted above, with many owners being told they HAVE to top up an extra £5 via the VITA, when the instructions do not make this explicit. Furthermore, the lack of a decent error message, or preferably proper support, for using VISA Debit cards, could be easily handled with a simple message. This should be on the main instructions page of the web site NOT buried here in the forum. It is that common a problem.

I am STILL awaiting my PM to sort this problem, or a reply to my original message. I would like a download code for the WipeOut game for my Vita. I would see it as a breech of contract for you to require me to top up again in order to qualify. I would urge others in a similar position to ask for the same. I would like it by the end of the week.

Mike

Re: Top up instructions for PS Vita and free game code

However, I must also apologise for not realising before that reposting is discouraged. I will not do that again; only realised after reading you admonishing another user for doing the same. Sorry

Playstation Vita - Some Businsess Exception

Hi,

I've run into the 'Some Business Exception' error when trying to register my Vita sim. I've noticed that PM's have been sent with instructions to solve this issue when encountered previously - can I request a PM with these instructions?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Playstation Vita - Some Businsess Exception

I haven’t received the game code ether and when I try to create an account online I get business error message to.  The vita was a gift for me the other day and bought from a Vodafone store and activated and toped up in the store.  How long should it take for the game code to arrive and how do I register for an online account?

Re: Playstation Vita - Some Businsess Exception

[ Edited ]

Hi all,

DoctorMikeReddy - Don't worry about posting multiple times, but thanks for understanding. The real concern is posting over multiple threads as it can lead to the query being responded to more than once, which obviously delays us in getting to others. Things can get confusing as well if you're being answered in multiple places.

The issue with the card may have been down to the bank in question using an interim screen for verification on a payment. Whilst we make the necessary pages available without credit, we can't provision for these when they appear.

You're right that the payment qualifies for the code, so I'll send you a PM to let us help with this.

----------------------------------

lochnesssnowman - That's something we can resolve for you. A PM is on the way.

----------------------------------

lbeeb - We can clear the business exception issue for you, which should allow you to complete the registration. If we take the payment for you whilst doing that, then you'll still get the code sent so we'll be happy to help. Cue another PM for you!

----------------------------------

You can find your PM inbox here. If you can't access this link, please ensure that the box next to "Turn on private messages" is ticked on this page, and let us know if you need any further assistance.

Dave
