Sony Z3 and 4G service

I've bought Sony Z3 from Japan (so obviously Japan version), which is unlocked, and I can make calls and go online with Vodafone's 2G / 3G network.

My plan includes 4G service, but my Z3 does not receive any 4G signal from Vodafone.

I tried searching mobile network manually, and I could see EE's and Three's 4G network. However, I could only see Vodafone's 2G and 3G networks.

I popped in a local shop, and confirmed my sim card does not have a problem i.e. 4G signal was on when my sim card was with the staff's device.

What can I do now to get back my 4G with my phone?

Thanks!

If you are seeing EE 4G network, it would indicate to me that potentially the frequency your phone operates on is different from the frequency Vodafone use. The only way to solve this would be to get a different phone or to try it on another network.

I agree, It's likely that an overseas model is operating on different frequencies to the ones Vodafone uses.   On 3G, this is often 850mhz - Vodafone uses 800.
