Hi folks,

I bought a Vivaz from a well known eBay shop a few months ago and I am experiencing the same issues that have been reported in this thread, i.e. freezing, needing to remove the battery, reboot, etc. I'm on a sim only contract with Vodafone.

I contacted the seller about this and they told me to do a firmware update, which I have done, and the phone continues to freeze, mainly when I load txt conversations, it just hangs up.

Reading around, doesn't look like there's a proper fix so will need to send it back for 'repair'. Although I doubt very much a 'repair' is more than a factory reset and firmware upgrade.

Just add in to this firmware version of my wife's Vivaz. R2EA021

Been away for repair twice and even with a detailed essay description of issues, I get a "lovely" letter exclaiming my handset is fixed (when it clearly isn't) as the "technician" has re-installed the software/firmware.

Bah. Not holding my breath for a fix. Think I'll sell it to a recycle website and buy my wife a handset that actually works!

I hate my sony ericsson vivaz it has frozen so many times that I missed photo opportunities of my sons sports day and daughters birthday. I brought it particularly for the camera performance. I have now lost 80% of my photos. I have had 4 replacement handsets. Can't wait until I am free of the contract so that I can get the i phone I should have got in the first place!

Sent away for repair again today. 3rd time unlucky. Think if still doing it (which it will!) will just have to keep escalating untill they replace with a different model.

I have the same problem. My vivaz has been back to vodafone 6 times since i got it a year ago which i feel is far from good enough. I got it fixed because the charger socket had fallen out so the phone was replaced. I was given a replacement phone. It had started to freeze all the time and it has continued to even though I updated the software on the phone.

To be honest I am sick of having this phone and it being sent back all the time.

The only good thing it is for is taking pictures and videos which i can't really do now because it just freezes when it decides to.

Is there any way I can completely swap my phone? I am entering the 17th month of a 24 month contract. When it is up I will probably leave Vodafone
