Hi @changnoi1957

I'm sorry to see the problems that you're having with this. Unfortunately the Network unlock code won't work whilst you're outside of the UK.

However if you'd like us to look into getting the code, please email our team here and we'll be in touch.

Thanks,

Amanda

Hi there

What phone are you trying to unlock?  Where did you buy it from?

PWIAC

I am trying to unlock Sony Experia E1 which I bought at Heathrow Airport in December.

Please see the long email chain below which I was involved in with 5 different Vodaphone personnel whilst trying to unlock. In addition I have called on the phone ... lasted 30 minutes and again no Help.  The IMEI number below is correct and there is also full details of the receipt.

Hope you can Help?

Hi Lindsay,

Apologies for the inconvinience caused.

Thanks for getting in touch about unlocking your phone. When we checked the details you gave us we couldn’t find a match for the IMEI number on your account. We need your IMEI number (a unique serial number) before we can unlock it.

What do you need to do?

Double check the details you gave us when you filled in the form.

The IMEI number you gave us is 355628066166009.

Check this against your phone by tapping in *#06# and it will display on the screen.

If this number isn’t right, you’ll need to fill in the online form again.

Also you can provide us with the copy of proof of purchase/replacement for further processing your unlocking request.

When we’ve got your new form we’ll be back in touch.

Thanks,

Tanvi

Gunjan ........ you obviously can not read English ...... I will be emailing this ridiculous email chain to Vodaphone to complain about complete lack of service.  I have given proof of purchase and yet you still give me the same computer generated drivel.  Gunjan the machine?  Sanjay the Idiot?  and finally Shaurin the Numpty.  3 times the finest from the Sub Continent ...... we are safe in your hands ehhh?    Unfortunately we wont be able to call anybody up about it.

I look forward to your next drivel ........ perhaps from another Idiot this time.

Finest Regards

Hi Shaurin,

The IMEI numbers correct.  It is for a phone I bought at Heathrow airport on the way out to Angola (where I am now).  I bought the phone but want to use a local sim card in it.  The phone number I gave you is for my UK phone ....... I do not know the number of this new phone since there is no sim card.

Hope you can help unblock so I can use.

Thanks

Was it bought on contract or PAYG?  Has it been used on the Vodafone UK network?

PWIAC

Hi again,

It was bought as PAYG and has never been used anywhere.   I am currently in Angola and am trying to use it with a local Sim.   I just need Vodaphone to unlock ... happy to pay, but getting the right person appears illusive.

thanks

Hi Amanda,

Thanks very much for finally puting me in the picture unlike your other colleagues ...... very frustrating.

I still need to unlock the phone and therefore need to do whatever I must to do this.

Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
