voted 4th best mobile on tech radar.

Do i really have to go to phones4u or carphonewarehouse to get the upgrade on the phone i want.

At the moment, there are no plans to range any Sony devices, but if this should change then it'll be announced on our coming soon page.

If there's any other handset that interests you, let me know as we can do you a deal on some of the other handsets in the top 20

As a long-term Vodafone and Sony (and Sony Ericsson) customer I am mystified by Vodafone not even having a release date for the new Sony Xperia phones. Having checked out the details of the new xperia phones on Sony's own website (and read some reviews), I am determined that - one way or another - my next phone will be a new Sony Android phone. When my upgrade date comes up, will I be able to "upgrade" to a SIM-only contract (probably at lower monthly cost) and buy the phone elsewhere? (And probably amortize the cost difference over the likely two-year period that I tend to use phones!)  Either that, or change network operator! I would probably miss being a Vodafone customer after all these years, but it is clearly not the same Vodafone if it can exclude a major manufacturer like Sony from its product offering, without even a plausible explanation!
