Xperia M2 Aqua Frozen

Hi all,

had my M2 Aqua since March 2015 (not long) and it has frozen up completely the last 4 days in a row! I can't reset it (volume rocker and power) it is just stuck on the screen and won't turn off, nothing, can't even turn off, receive calls, laptop/PC companion doesn't recognise it either. I've reset via the pin hole under the sim flap but I'm concerned its happening daily. As it is new and clearly a fault with the phone will Vodafone replace with a different phone?

Cheers

Hi,

Are you on the latest firmware ?

Vodaphone would send it off to their repair centres or you could contact the manufacturers UK Support.

Unfortunately I wouldn't think they would replace for a different model but will repair / run a diagnostic and send it back in working order or discuss a same model replacement if eligible.

I believe another model would only be discussed if the original model is no longer available and no units are accessible to replace yours.

I hope you get this sorted ASAP.

It's possible that the device is short on resources.  Try a factory reset and then run it vanilla, with no addition apps, for a few days.  If it's fine, that's the problem.   If this model accepts an external sd card, give it one and use it for as much storage as you can - photos, music, even those apps that can be moved to it (via Settings|Apps).
