Ok, i'm guessing i'm not the only one with issues so why not get them all in one place?

Right......

Since the update to 2.3 my phone refuses to let me know about text messages unless i actually go into the messaging app.  it wont do a notification sound at all either.   I go into Messaging and only then do i get the little message icon appear.

I have looked for a settings option regarding this and can't see anything.  i have also tried sending myself messages from a number of different phones and networks, all with the same results

Anyone got any ideas?

If you tap on the message icon on the screen then press the left hand button (with four squares on it) you get a settings menu.  you can set whether you get a notification and also the tone etc. you use - you can also now use music tracks etc. if you scroll to the end of the list, which I don't think you could before.

Sorry, that's not the issue.  i can select a tone and everythign and have made sure that the volume is up etc.

My problem is that when i get a message i get NO notification.  Not even the icon in the notification bar.  The phone wont register ANY new text message even exists unless i activly go into Messaging,  only then does the icon appear in the notification bar.

Just so you know, i did a Repair through PC Companion last night and the problem is still there.

I am sorry to see that you are having issues with the notifications since you did the Gingerbread.

To raise this as an issue with our support teams we need 10 examples to share with them so that this can be looked into.

If it is an isolated issue, I would recommend sending the phone away for repair as it could be coincidental that this has happened since the firmware update.

If any other forum member has experienced this then please let us know.

I updated to Gingerbread yesterday. Since then my X10 doesn't seem able to find my sd card. I have gone into settings, storage and both mount sd card and erase sd card are unlit, not available. There is no option to format the card either.
I cannot connect to pc companion, as it needs a sd card.
I have tried wiping everything off the sd card on my pc, and has done nothing...phone still can't detect the sd card, it's a 8gb card.
Anyone able to help, it's driving me nuts?

@Mezza180 - you'll need to reformat your SD card in another android phone, then when you put it back in your X10 it should be recognised. Others have tried this and said it works - some have done the same thing using a PC/laptop formatting using FAT32 to reformat.
