as the title suggests i have an xperia play and after 6 months after release it's gone the way of the dodo as has all sony phones, any reason? also if i can show interest in playstation vita on the australian vodaphone site why are you not doing the same here?

Hi Andy,

Since Sony have bought Ericssons half of the deal there will be no more handset released under the SE name rather they will be released solely by Sony. 

Vodafone are still stocking a few SE handsets, details can be found here.

In terms of the PSVita, Vodafone Australia are a different company to Vodafone UK so the devices they carry and services they offer will be different.

The PSVita is not due for a european release until 22nd of February. I wouldn't expect to see any details until nearer the time. Keep an eye on the Coming Soon pages it will appear there before anywhere else!

OK Vodafone what is going on, I need to upgrade and all I am offered is HTC, Blackberry or Samsung? That's it!?? I have used two previous versions of Sony Ericsson and want to upgrade to the latest one. What's the story. Are Sony going to be stocked by Vodafone, if so when? If not why? What happened to choice?

The short answer is yes, well, probably yes. There are a few threads about old SE models and the new Sony range, I'd read that VF were not stocking the new Sony range but others have been told by VF that they are, so who knows?! There is still nothing on the VF coming soon section, and has been this way for over a month, so I wouldn't hold your breath...
