Not sure what the issue is but since around earlier this evening I keep getting this error when I send a text. How can I fix this?

Yeah, it seems to happen when sending it to anybody. It might work on the third or fouth attempt at resending.

I'm having the same problem. Started about 4-5 days ago where it won't send texts... it does everything like it would normally do but then the error 'could not send' is displayed in the notification banner (Sony Xperia Play).
I then have to try re-sending the message 3-4 times before it does it. This is extremely frustrating, especially if you need to send quick messages and don't notice that it hasn't sent!
Can someone please get back to me regarding this and confirm
a) is this a known problem
b) if it is, what solutions/resolutions will you provide
As one of the main selling points for Vodafone was SureSignal, I would expect this to be investigated thoroughly as the service I am receiving is not living up to the high standards advertised.
Thank you for your time and I hope to hear from one of your experts or Tech guys soon.
Kind regards
Matthew

Hi miratps and howshamm07
Thank you for your posts and a very warm welcome to the eForum.
Are you able to receive SMS, make and receive calls normally?
This may be down to the device or it may be the network, so we can check this please can you take a look at our Network Issues thread and post your results back here.
Many Thanks

Thanks Dave.
I am able to recieve SMS, make and receive calls all as normal, yes.
Like I said, the problem seems to be just when sending texts (only started the last few days).
I have restarted the phone several times but to no avail. I don't have another phone available to put the sim in and test it as per the Network Thread. The coverage page shows good network coverage for my area also.
Is there anything specific you would have me check/need details of?

Hi howshamm07
Thank you for your swift reply.![]()
The main thing for me to check the network would be to check the site you actually connect with, to do this I will need your full post code, if you are not comfortable with this on a public forum just update your personal details and I can grab it from there.
So we can ensure we are on the same page with the device please can you let me know the software version you are currently running, and also if you have downloaded any apps around the time this started happening.
Many Thanks

Hi howshamm07,
Taking a look around the local area, the sites all appear to be running ok on my system. As other services are all unaffected, that is what I'd expect to see, but it was worth checking to rule it out definitively.
I'm going to pop you a PM so we can take a look to see what's happening for you.
You can find your PM inbox here. If you can't access this link, please ensure that the box next to "Turn on private messages" is ticked on this page, and let us know if you need any further assistance.
Dave
