setting up voicemail

I have had my Sony Z1 for many months and have never got voicemail to work.  When I call 1211 all I get is silence.  121 rings twice then stops and goes dead with the message call failed.  This is becoming impossible as i need to have an answer phone can anyone help with advice on how to set it up

Hi, they have had voicemail issues and some customers have sorted it via livechat.

Try what 63johnw said and ask them to reset the service.   That usually does it.
