A few issues with my Sure Signal V2

I bought a 2nd hand sure signal and it's a great device as my new home has a poor signal without it.

However I have been having a couple of issues with it.

1. Sometimes it just drops out. It turned on and I have a full signal and all of a sudden I loose it. Sometimes the 2nd of the 3 lights flashes and sometimes it is lit. Right now the SS is on, the light is solid and I have no 3G.

2. I was on a call with my sister and she could barely hear me when calling through the SS. I turned it off, called her back and I was as clear as day.

My broadband connection Is through Plusnet and it's around a 5MB download speed.

Your Sure Signal made contact with the network today at 3.04am.

 

With your internet speeds showing the minimum required, it looks like this is having an impact with the call quality.

Morning Again.

 

we are having issues with my SS again.

 

done all the usual stuff again and it seems to keep dropping out and we loose signal. we can have full 3G signal and then 30 mins later we loose it and have no signal.

 

i have powered it off and back and and it fixes it for a bit then goes back off. nothing has changed our side. can someone please check it registred ok on the VF end.

 

in some good news, we will be getting fibre in the next month so upload speed will be way above whats needed.

 

any help would be great

The Sure Signal’s connecting fine at our end.

 

The last time it connected was on 20 October at 1.40am.

 

As it’s a couple of days since you posted, how’s it working now?

Hi..Sorry for the delay on getting back to you.

 

Its working fine now. It seems to fix itself. I am beginning to think it had to do with my broadband connection, as there is no other way to explain it.

Since my old SS box died and there is no sure signal boxes (or wasn't a week ago) anywhere where I go could, I was advised to buy on from ebay which i did.

However not managed to get this working, the lights are on the red light and the 3G light but neither my wife or I can get a signal. Reset it a could of times and it says that we have been registered OK, our phones are both very new so capable of 3G.

Hi @dannyfarrar,

 

Your traceroute isn't hitting our servers. Please ensure VPN passthrough is enable don your router. If you're unsure how to do this, please speak to your ISP. 

If you have it enabled, please post another traceroute so we can confirm it's not an ISP issue.
