WHEN WILL VODAFONE ADMIT THAT THEY HAVE SERIOUS PROBLEMS WITH THE SURE SIGNAL BOXES!!!!
Does every person need to go through this unnecessary procedure of contacting the Forum or technical support?
WHAT WE WANT IS;
1) A box that works all of the time as soon as we buy it - I can accept that there will a percentage of failures and a percentage of tech support . . . but those should be a very small percentage!
2) AND THIS IS A GOOD ONE - get a simple fix and post it to the top of this forum then you wont get a forum of nearly 100 pages of the same problem. THERE IS NOT ONE STRAIGHT ANSWER ON THIS FORUM!!!
3) Eliminate the problem completely but making sure that areas of high population can receive a signal - evan when I go outside my house I only get 1/2 bars are E signal and I live in N6 London!?!?!!
AND BEFORE YOU START ON ME!
Yes! I have rebooted the SS and my routers etc. I have changed the postcode to get it to work! and it still keeps falling over?!?!?!
Lastly - If you do not get this sorted out I will be sending Vodafone an invoice for all of the missed work and sales that have been lost the last few months.
Now I am not going to spend hours sorting this out - we are customers and you need to service us better. If the box is 'NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE' then change the model and supplier and update all users of SS.
I expect a personal repsonse within 24 hours of now.
Regards

You have interviewed every Sure Signal customer? wow.
I've never had to contact support, mine works fine.
p.s no-one likes shouty capital letter rants on forums.

Similarly with - works perfectly and I've never spoken to support. I did have to configure my router to get ports open so the unit would work but Google has plenty of information so that should not present an insurmountable problem. And it isn't Vodafone's problem anyway.
These forums are a place where people come to air their problems and grievances. This makes it seem like everyone has the same problem when in fact it is a very small percentage of the user base.

Hi ritchie72 and JackyFaulkner
Thank you for your posts and I am sorry you feel this way.
As mentioned by chorotega and jeffkinn that this is a public forum and a place where customers come for support, this may appear to be a large problem looking at the thread however this is a very small percentage of SureSignal users where most enjoy the service they provide.
The reason we ask questions around troubleshooting is because not all the issues have the same resolution and what may be right for one user may not be for another.
I’d like to help to resolve this VSS (Vodafone Sure Signal) issue for you, but to do this I will need to take some further information from you.
Can you post the following results to this thread?
Traceroute.
- On a PC / Laptop :
- Click on Start and select Run
- Type CMD into the Run box and press enter/click ok
- A black box will appear.
- In this box type tracert 212.183.133.177 press Enter
- Paste the output of this command into your reply.
And finally, your VSS serial number.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Many Thanks

As mentioned, this is a forum for people who have problems. Lots of us are frustrated with the lack of signal, have purchased a SS box after being told it would fix that problem only to be plagued with yet more problems. CS and tech support rarely come across with a solution and we normally have to sit it out til things decide to work again. All of this we are paying for.
Everyone has a right to express their frustrations, especially when they're not getting a service they are paying for. The poster has a perfectly valid point and has put it across with no foul language.
More's the point, if you have "not had a problem" then why are you on this forum sniping at disgruntled customers and gloating about how everything is hunky dory with your service?!
Oh, and it IS Vodafones problems. It's their products and services that are not delivering. Saying it isn't their problem is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard ![]()

A thread like this is full of annoyed and frustrated posters and I do not blame them for being angry. Positive posts are not gloating or denying your problem. But it is meant to demonstrate that there are many satisfied Sure Signal users to the wider world who are trying to decide whether or not to use Vodafone in general or a Sure Signal in particular.
In fact being objective about it means that it is highly likely that the vast majority of users are happy. It should also give those with problems some comfort in knowing that a Sure Signal can work as advertised.
