Another problem with Suresignal on Dlink DSL-G604T

I registered my box SS box yesterday and was told to wait 24hrs before it becomes active but alas, sigh, more than 24hrs later the only light on the box is the red power light. I have been through the troubleshooting guide and there is nothing there to help me in my quest to get my BBerry to make any calls from home. I have checked my speeds up & downloading and they are 6.46mbps and .86mbps. My ip address, should you need it, is 92.20.18.51

O2 was fine so if I cannot get this fixed soon I will sadly go back to O2 and dispense with the Vodaphone service.

Hello jimhayat,

Thanks for your post.

Please could you let me know your VSS serial number along with your external IP address?

Cheers,

Lee

Re: Another problem with Suresignal on Dlink DSL-G604T

Lee,

I don't know what you did but there is progress. The system light is blinking on my VSS box. I can only presume it will take up to 24hrs to get fully updated and the light should be on constantly.

Why does it take so long and what would happen if the router is restarted? If the router is restarted does that mean it will take another 24hrs for my VSS box to be updated?

Jim....

Re: Another problem with Suresignal on Dlink DSL-G604T

Hi jimhayat,

It shouldn’t take 24 hours to activate however; this is mentioned as a worst case scenario.

Looking at the serial number that you have provided I can see that the Sure Signal has registered against the server this morning and as a result you should now be back up and running.

Can I ask for you to test this and let me know how you get on?

James
