BT Infinity 2 and Sure Signal

We had Infinity 2 installed on Monday.  My older style Sure Signal now wont work, however, I am advised that if I request that the IP range is extended this will amend the problem.  I think Vodafone can do this or arrange with BT. My home hub falls in the range 192.168.1.64 to 254, can this be added to the list please.  The Sure Signal is amazing and I am really stuck without it.  Thank you

Hello Cloghane,

The information BT have provided you has not been correct on this occasion.

The SureSignal will obtain an I.P address using a standard procedure called DHCP. Just like any Laptop, PC, Mobile etc that connects to your Wireless/Hard Wired Network

It is possible your BT Home Hub 3.0 (The Black Box) is accidently restricting the flow of data in and out of your SureSignal to the Internet.

The Vodafone SureSignal creates aVPN Tunnel out to the Vodafone Infrastructure to ensure the information sent/received from Handset to Network is secure.

On your HomeHub 3.0 there are settings to restrict/allow VPN traffic through. I would suggest enabling "Clamping" via the setting on this page on your router:

Thanks,
