Hi all

Just registered the SS and all appeared great though for the last hour both lights have been flashing. I have re-booted though no joy. Can anyone help? Is it trying to locate my phone?

Sorry for resurecting an old thread, but it seems help was being given here!

Long-time user of SureSignals. Think I remember Lee from the days when I would get banned from this topic! :Smiley_with_tongue_out:

Ive jumped through the hoops already, any chance you can check on my 5th (!) SS:

Serial: 40112828054

I think a sync is needed from your end.

Regards,

Howard.

Hi CiderGuru,

I've arranged a resync for you, please make sure to do a reset to complete this process;

-Locate the button on the base of the box next to the Ethernet ports.

-Press and hold the button for approximately 30 seconds.

-Once the lights come back on, release the button.

Let me know how you get on,

Kay

Hi, I've been unable to connect via my sure signal box for about a week. I've performed several resets on both the sure signal (v2) and my bt home hub router.

Yesterday, I was advised to reset once more, whilst an update was pushed to my box.

24 hours later, both lights are still flashing, so I have de-registered and re-registered my sure signal.

Once again, over an hour later, both lights are still flashing.

What should I do next?

Hi @AndyQuick

Please take a look at our Sure Signal Troubleshooting thread. If this doesn’t resolve your query, please post your reply either below, or in the relevant thread, together with the details requested, including the following information.

Your speed test results from here.

Hi,

Unfortunately I'm having issues where both lights are flashing. I've followed all of the troubleshooting steps in the other thread link, with no success.

Hi @t_aitch ,

Thanks for posting your results.

So we can rule out your being affected by last weeks PlusNet IP changes, please turn off your router, then your Sure Signal.

If you leave it five minutes then turn them both on again, you should reconnect within six hours.

Everything else on your results check out fine. :Smiling:

Cheers,

Ben

Hi Ben,

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately after rebooting both devices, I'm still seeing two flashing lights.

Hi @t_aitch

Can you please confirm exactly which two lights are flashing?

What's the full light sequence you see on your Sure Signal?

Thanks,

Simon

Hi Andrew

No I'm not getting a signal.

I woke up this morning to find the 2 lights flashing and they are still flashing now.

If its downloading a profile, then it's been trying for over 24hrs

We only use a couple of iPads, so that's the only thing that could affect the upload speed, but they wouldn't have been in use during the night, so the box had plenty of time to download the profile.

Hi

I seem to be suffering from similar problems. I have model 9361 Home Cell V2-V (the second generation one)

serial: 40113845354.

The red power LED is always constant on, the ethernet port LEDs are one on constant the other flashing (which I read is healthy).

For stretches as long as 48 hrs the white 3G LED is on constant and the device functions fine, but almost every day a get both white LEDs (3G and handset) flashing, or just both completely off, for up to a few hours. It seems to sort itself out eventually but invariably repeats the dance.

I have tried multiple settings on my router and the Sure Signal is currently set as the DMZ with a static internal IP.

Speed test results from when both white LEDs are flashing (average of 3 seperate events):

ping: 32ms

download: 6.79Mbps

upload: 0.36Mbps

Ping test:

0% packet loss

36ms ping

2ms jitter

External IP: 87.115.63.19

Remaing requests time out.

I have reset many times including router first followed by SS, and tried the hard reset where it re-downloads its profile. Problem still occurs.

Please help!

Thanks

Charlie
