Hi Guys,

Check out the first post in this link, if your symptoms appear similar, replace your power supply

http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Vodafone-Sure-Signal/SureSignal-1-flashing-but-not-working-possible-f...

Replacement power supplies are readily available from Amazon or Ebay and cost around £10, so worth a try!

Good luck,

Mike.

I am having similar issues , sure signal was working fine,

so from other posts ths like it is a common issue

I have:

hard reset the router and sure signal

then set up a fixed ip address ,

set the tcp and udp ports to open for the ip address ,

left this 24 hrs

Hi @ajvc and @Welshie

Please take a look at our Sure Signal Troubleshooting thread. If this doesn’t resolve your query, please post your reply either below, or in the relevant thread, together with the details requested, including the following information.

Your speed test results from here.

The results of a traceroute.

Your Sure Signal serial number:

On a PC:

Click on Start and select Run

Type CMD into the Run box and press enter/click ok

A black box will appear.

In this box type tracert 212.183.133.177 press Enter

Hi everyone,

@ajvc – Your Sure Signal hasn’t made contact with the network since 22 March.

Please let us know your external IP address (the one you’ve posted is an internal one) and also the results of a traceroute:

VSS Traceroute command

On a PC:

Click on Start and select Run

Type CMD into the Run box and press enter/click ok

A black box will appear.

In this box type tracert 212.183.133.177 press Enter

Paste the output of this command into your reply.

It’s also worth texting a different Ethernet cable.

@Welshie – Your Sure Signal has detected a location change (this maybe if your Internet Service Provider has changed an IP address).

I’ve changed the post code to ST1 5GP and then changed it back to your location.

Please perform a reset:

  • Unplug the Ethernet cable from the Sure Signal
  • Locate the button on the base of the box next to the Ethernet ports
  • Press and hold the button for approximately 30 seconds
  • Once the lights come back on, release the button
  • Plug the cable back in

Allow around one hour for the Sure Signal to come back online

Thanks,

Gemma

i am sorry but this is a rubbish typical IT solution

telling the user to reset something ,

do you think i am stupid and have not tryed reseting th sure signal and router , both soft and hard resets

i seen the other requests forhelp when yuo ask for the same thing so therefore it clear there is a common issue with the sure signal

i wil no go for redress from vodaphone direct via the supply of goods act (uk) and Euroepan ruling on 'probable faulty equipment ' 6 year warrenty cover

it is clear that you are just passing the buck and after two weeks without a phone working at home.
