Yes, working on all devices, however the phones didn't automatically pick up the 3G signal, I had to switch to 3G only (blackberry) and WCDMA only (SGS2), before it would pick up the signal. Then worked OK when put both in mixed 2G/3G mode. Switching airplane mode on and then off didn't make any difference.
Maybe that will help others where everything looks OK on VF side, but users still not connected to VSS.
Regards and thanks for your help.

I installed and registered a new version SureSignal this morning, and waited until I recieved the confirmation email and checked on my account that it was registered before trying to use it.
The internet connection is running at 7.7Mbps with a 43ms ping, and the router shows the SureSignal box as an active client. The SureSignal box has configured OK, and the power and system lights are on and steady, but my phone (HTC One S with ICS) won't connect to it. The 'RealSignal' app shows a very strong signal ('Unknown'), and when I Search Networks in the Network Operators settings, I see 'Vodafone UK' at the top of the list.
However, when I select the 'Vodafone UK' network from the list, it tries to register, but comes back with 'Your SIM card does not allow a connection to this network'. If I try the 'Select Automatically' option, it sits at 'Automatic registration...' indefinitely until I close it down.
I know the phone can receive Vodafone signals because I was connected with a reasonable signal from a local mast outdoors earlier today.
A customer services agent I spoke to said it takes 24 hours for the SureSignal to 'sort out the local masts', but since, as I understand it, SureSignal has nothing to do with local masts, and none of the guides or help files talk about waiting 24hrs, I suspect he had no idea what he was talking about. I tried to get him to put me onto a technical support agent, but he refused.
I've tried resetting the phone, and power cycling it, and I've tried switching between WCDMA only, GSM only, and GSM / WCDMA auto, but no joy. I can still get a connection outside the house.
What now?

Now it registers OK in dual mode even after a power-off.
What can I say? Sorry to waste your time...

After switching to auto mode I'm still connected, but when I go out of range i.e. going to work, it doesn't automatically reconnect when returning home. This happens with all devices.
I'm not expecting a simple solution somehow.

ok, after months of perfect service from my VSS (new version) it has decided to stop working for no apparant reason, the powr and signal lights are both lit constantly and yet my signal is not forthcoming, this as you can imagine is annoying,I have read through the "help" section which it seems is totally based on the phone being at fault. I don't believe it to be the case, I have tried ressetting both devices many many times, my phone is a Nokia N8, anyone help?

Hi there C2,
I'm really sorry to read your Sure Signal is no longer working.
I can see you've had a great service from it in the past though judging by your other post
I'd like to see if we can get you back to that situation!
If you've tried all the troubleshooting then your device might be the problem.
Could you try it on another connection for me to see if the issue remains?
Also, it would be great if you could let me know the serial number of the VSS.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Cheers,
Lee

Hi
My Suresignal box seems to have stopped working.
I have 2 Iphone 4S before have 3G enabled. Suresignal box has been working until about Friday. When we come home from being out we have to reboot our phones when in the house so that it connects to the suresignal box. then through out ther day our phones will drop off the 3G and go to E or sometimes no service.
But now the suresignal box isnt giving out a 3G signal I have rebooted it 3 times and all the lights are on except the 3rd light is flashing to show the phones are connected.
Please help as we cant txt without this or phone anyone as the signal is very bad where i live.
Kind Regards

Hi
I wonder if you can help me. I have had a sure signal for about two years and it has worked perfectly until about three weeks ago when both of the phones registered to the unit would only connect intermittently. The lights on the unit are correct (1 2 and 4). I have rebooted the unit many times but to no avail.
In a last ditch attempt to fix the problem I purchased a new sure signal and registered this as a replacement unit. Again I get the correct light sequence (power and signal) but neither of the phones will connect to it. I registered a new (third) number to the unit and received a text confirming that it had been registered but this phone does not connect either.
Broadband speed is OK at 9700kbps download and 990kbps upload.
I would be grateful for any advice or suggestions you can give me.
Thank you
Kind regards
Robert

Hi,
Could you assist with my similar problem. I have 2 sure signals (1 at my house and 1 at my girlfriends) and they both worked perfectly until a couple of weeks ago. I have reset phones/sure signals etc etc and it has not helped at all. Do they need to be reset from the Vodafone? The serial numbers are: old sure signal = 21196875823 and new sure signal = 40112555889.
Cheers
Mike

Hi everyone,
Thanks for your posts.
- I need to know that you've been through all the troubleshooting at the start of this thread.
- It would be highly advantageous if you could also try the device on alternate connection such as at a friends or relatives house and let me know if issue persists.
- Please could I also take the VSS serial number if you've not already provided one?
@ C2 - I've sent you a PM which can be accessed here. If you could follow the instructions in the PM and send us your details one of the team will be with you as soon as they can.
@ michaelowens1 - I've forced a resync of both of your units. Please could you factory reset them both for me and let me know if you need anything else?
VSS Factory Reset
- Hold the reset button till all the lights come on or flash (about 30 seconds)
- Keeping the rest button held, remove and re-insert the power lead
- Once all the lights come on or flash, release the reset button
- The VSS should come online within the hour
Cheers,
Lee

Thank you. Today the service seems to have been restored - all three phones are connecting straight away. Nothing has changed this end but very pleased to have a signal again.
Kind regards

I fear I spoke too soon. All was back up and running for about a day then no signal again until Sunday when all three phones got full signal. Today no signal at all. Nothing is changing this end - the broadband has been working all the time and the ss lights are correct.
Please would you check this out for me. The serial no of my SS is 40121042820.
Thank you.
Regards
Robert

Hi Robert128
Thanks for your updates regarding the signal on your unit. I've performed a resync for you this afternoon. To complete the process please perform a factory reset on your Sure Signal unit as follows:
- Hold the reset button till all the lights come on or flash (about 30 seconds)
- Keeping the rest button held, remove and re-insert the power lead
- Once all the lights come on or flash, release the reset button
- The VSS should come online within the hour
If you're still encountering difficulties with connecting your phones after the reset please let us know.
Thanks
Simon

Hi,
I seem to be having a similar problem to everyone else on here. Have been using the new VSS since October without problem, and then about a week ago I'm barely getting any signal. I'm using an iphone 4S with a vodafone sim. I've tried hard resets on my phone, the VSS and my BT home Hub 3 router. I've done no updates or change settings in many weeks, on any device. With the VSS now switched on it seems to be blocking all mobile signals. I get 1 or 2 bars with the VSS off, but lose everything with it on. I've also changed the ethernet cable and plugged it into a different port on the router. I've also deregistered the VSS and then registered it again. All to no avail. I have therefore had to leave the VSS off now, just to get a bare bones signal (I have no issues with 3G signals outside of the house). Unfortunately I don't have access to another 3G handset.
My VSS serial no is: 40111600058
I've also done the tracert is that is needed

Hi CaptainO,
Thanks for your post on the eForum with all the information that you've so far provided. So that we can take a look into your Sure Signal set up from our end would you mind following the instructions I'm sending to you in a PM.
Once you've sent it over to us we'll be in touch to discuss this further.
Thanks,

Just sent it to you Phil, via the support email page... Many thanks!
Also, just to let you know that switching off the 3G on my iphone gives me a better signal. The VSS is now switched on so you can access it if needed.

Simon
I reset the SS as instructed and still get the correct lights i.e. power and signal but none of the phones will connect at all. Please advise what I can do next. I have waited 24 hours before posting in case it came back but nothing!
Thanks
Robert
