Hi D-Mac,
Thanks for your post.
Could you let me know the VSS serial number please?
Is this relating to the BlackBerry you mention in your other thread?
Cheers,
Lee

Hello Lee,
Thanks for the response. The SS serial number is 21225094727.
This issue does relate to my other Blackberry thread, but having gone through so many different tests with 2nd Line Technical, replaced the sim, swapped sims and phones with known working ones, and been able to receive 3G in locations away from the SS box, my conclusion is that the SS box hasn't recognised my registration of the phone number in question.
Would gratefully appreciate getting this resolved.

Hi D-Mac.
Thanks for coming back to us. ![]()
I've just taken a look at your VSS via our admin tools, and all looks well, with recent activity, and four separate active numbers attached to it. In this case I think I'm going to need specific information concerning the problematic number. So I can get this information from you, I have sent an email to your eForum registered address. If you can kindly complete and return this I will be in touch to assist in this matter further.
Regards
Trev

Hello Trev,
I'm afraid that your email has not been received. Could you resend it please.
To respond to your comment, our VSS is working perfectly well because we are able to receive a 3G signal from it on three different devices. The problem is that our new fourth device, although having been registered with the Sure Signal service, is not picking up a 3G signal from the VSS, although this device is capable of picking up a 3G signal away from the VSS in other locations.

Dear DaveCD,
Thanks for your reply. Your second email came through (I checked all the folders and the first one has not appeared). I have responded to all of the questions and provided some additional information to give as complete a picture of the issue as I can. I hope this steers you in the right direction for a solution.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Regards,

Hello,
It's been quite a while now since I sent in the email full of info on my SS problem, and despite getting a phone call saying that my issue had been passed onto another department, I have yet to receive a response from them. My phone is still not receiving a 3G signal from the SS and there has been no change to my situation at all. Vodafone, could you please look into this, find out who is meant to be sorting this problem out, and ask them at the very least to give me an update.
Thank you.
D-Mac.

My SS No. is 40113315952
My Wife has a HTC Wildfire and it is working fine with the SS but I have a Generic Android Smart Phone with Dual Sim's and I cannot get it to work with my phone.
Is there any settings I can add either VPN or add anything to the APN information that would get my phone connected to the SS?
I would be gratefull if you could help with this matter.
Regards
Andy

Hi andymurray2810,
Can I ask if you are still having issues?
If you are you confirm if the SIM that you are using in the phone is a Vodafone UK SIM and not from a 3rd party such as Asda mobile.
Also have you tried to remove the number and add this in again?
If you can let me know we will be able to look at this further for you

Hello -
I purchased Sure Signal last Friday and was told by the Vodafone shop I had to return it within 7 days if it did not work to get a refund. So I am under time pressure here. I bought it because the London flat I have just moved into has no mobile signal.
I am using sure signal with a BT HomeHub 3 and set up appears to have worked; the sure signal power light and system light are on. My phone has not picked up the 3G signal. It is an iphone 4.
I have tried resetting everything and tried Airline mode on and off on the phone; still no signal.
Should I pack it up and take it back to the shop now? What chance of getting it working when out at work all day and busy in the evening? What should I do? I am tempted to give up and get my money back because it has already taken up enough of my time.
Please advise

Hi all.
aes – Can you let me know your VSS (Vodafone Sure Signal) serial number? From this I will be able to see if your device is registered and action further diagnostics.
andymurray2810 – If you wish to re-register you main account mobile number you would need to de-register the VSS itself, and then re-register when completed. I wouldn’t do that just yet though, as I have just forced a re-sync of your VSS, so can you try a factory reset firstly.
- Hold down the reset button until all the lights show (about 30 seconds)
- Keeping the reset button held down, remove then re-insert the power lead.
- Once all lights display release the reset button.
- The Sure Signal will come online in around 1 hour.
If this fails to help then by all means you can try to register the VSS and your device again.

Hi andymurray2810,
The only thing that I can think of is if the duel SIM handset is for some reason not supported by the Sure Signal.
To double check this please can you try the SIM that you have in this handset in the HTC Wildfire and let us know if the SIM then picks up signal as it will show us whether it is an issue with the Sure Signal unit or something else.

Hi I have tried another phone with the SS and that works fine with my SIM in the phone so I think it is my phone.
Are there any settings specific to SS that I could change in my phone like the APN or VPN settings.
I do not want to change this phone as I need the dual SIM for business so if there is anything I could try then great
