Hello everybody
I have got a Nokia E7-00 smartphone with a Vodafone Sim Card and I have also acquired the Sure Signal. Through the use of a Nokia application (the Energy profiler) I have noticed that when my E7 is connected to the Sure Signal and I am surfing the WEB it consumes approximately the double of the power of when it is connected to a Wifi and I am performing the same operation. Is it normal? Does anyone know why?
BTW: shall I post the message in the Nokia section of the forum instead of here?
Thanks a lot for any answer

My wife use to have the same handset and it was the same, at a guess I would just think that the 3g side uses more juice that the wifi.
cheers

dilbog is correct here.
3G data does use considerably more power than WiFi.
I can only assume that this is because WiFi requies less processing when transmitting the data and can be transmitted at a much lower power as it's designed to be much shorter range.
