Intermitte nt connection to uresignal

I have a HTC one X and a suresignal (single ethernet port version).
I had great difficulty making any calls via this last week - but I talked to level 2 tech support and now it works.
Sort of,
It is extremely unreliable.
At times the one X is showing 5 bars but at otherr only 1. Eventually it wont connect at all and needs a reboot before it works at all.
During this time the SS works fine with other HTC devices .. hence I have posted in this area of the forum.
Any ideas?
It ios a great phone, but if it doesnt work with SS it is useless to me. I live within 2ft of granite!

Hi pmgd57
Thanks for your post. Was the HTC One X an upgrade on an existing line? If so, did you switch from a standard SIM card to a Micro SIM when you upgraded as although it shouldn't make a difference to your connection we have known on occasions that where a SIM swap has taken place the number will no longer connect to the Sure Signal device.
This can simply be rectified by de-registering the number on the Sure Signal dashboard via My Account and then re-registering.
With reference to your ending calls query on your other post here, have you noticed the error when you've been trying to end a call whilst not connected to the Sure Signal, i.e. away from home?
Thanks
Simon

Hi Simon,
If you are able to look at th elkogs for my account you will see that the tech support tem have done exactly as you say.
They moved ownership to another member then readded me. Before they did this I was not able to use the suresignal at all.
The problem now is that it is INTERMITTENT. For axemple, I am trying this on a computer 2 ft from the suresignal and i HAVE zero BARS OF SIGNAL.
OOps - now I have 5.
Thats what it is like. When it works it is good. when not it isnt.
To answer your other query: no I have not noticed the other problem when outside.

Hi pmgd57
Can you do some speed tests on your line when you are having these drop outs?
Go to speedtest.net from a computer and post the results. If you could do this a couple of times at different points in the day, when the Sure Signal is working and when it is not.
Can you also post the results of a traceroute. To do this;
For XP just click Start > Run and type cmd then hit enter
-For Vista/Windows 7, press Start and type cmd into the search bar
-Right click the result and click "Run As Administrator
Once you're in the command prompt type in pathping 212.183.133.181
Thanks

Hi Guys,
Thanks for your posts here.
@ pmgd57, I can see from your traceroute that there is an issue with hop 5 and 7 where there is 100% packet loss which will cause issues in the Sure Signal establishing a VPN connection and allowing your phone to connect to the Sure signal.
This will need to be raised and resolved by your ISP before any further tests can be completed.
@ Petinho, please can you also provide the details requested inWayne’s post so that we can check your connection as if there is an intermittent fault on your line it would stop the phone from connecting to the Sure Signal.

I am afraid you are incorrect.
1. If there were really a 100% packet loss - there would be no downstream information.
2. I have just repeated the pathping, it shows exactly the same info yet I made a short call successfully - using the suresignal.
The issue is to do with the HCT ONE X and the suresignal NOT NOT NOT the connection of the suresignal to your servers.
It has worked perfectly for 2 years with my HTC desire and my Wildfire.
It continues to do so.
It does NOT work relaibly with the HTC ONE X.
Please note that this product was sold to me by your website stating 'this is compatible with suresignal'.
PLEASE ESCALATE THIS.

I wish to comment on my other problem which you have decided to combine in here.
This appears to me to be a very different problem.
It remains.
I just called 121.
I was connected.
I pressed end call.
The automated voice continued, the suresignal light 3 stayed on, the phone went back to CALL (that is, indicating the call was terminated).
The status bar at the top STILL had a gree handset on it.
If I tried to make a new call it said 'call not sent'.
If I went to the status bar and pressed the red hangup symbol then nothing happened.
Eventually, after about 30 secs the call terminated
SURELY this is a significant problem!
