Morning,

My VSS box is showing the correct lights but i have had no 3G signal for the last 3 days.  I have tried the hard resets and other resets from the forum but still not working.

Could you please have a look and maybe push a resync please?

Serial No 21196985663

Thanks

Hi there WayneA,

How are things today?

I've just checked and your VSS connected to our servers again this morning?

Are you aware of anything changing on your network?

Has your ISP made any changes recently?

Cheers,

LeeH

Hi Lee,

Thanks for the reply.

No changes on my ISP as far as im aware (well not been informed if there has been!), is there anything specific i need to ask them (SKY) which you might think will be causing the issue, maybe something you have seen before?

Cheers

Wayne

Hi WayneA,

Can you post a fresh traceroute and speed test, as well as re-checking yiour IP address for me?

That'll show us the key stats to see if anything changed.

Dave

Hi WayneA

The IP address is definitely on the whitelist.

I can see that Sure Signal last connected last night at 19:47, is everything running ok today?

Thanks

Sukhi

Hi Sukhi,

Nope i still have zero signal, although i do get the odd 4 bars hence why you can probably see me connecting to the servers.

Any other ideas on what may be causing this?

Thanks

Wayne

Hi WayneA,

There is something which is jumping out.

Each step in the connection needs to be completed in no more than 200ms or the Sure Signal will time out. Looking at the traceroute, the first step jumps between really quick and - at 864ms - well over that time.

If there's something which is causing that to jump frequently and time out, it could explain things. I'd recommend speaking with your ISP and showing them this traceroute to see if they can work out what's causing it.

Dave

Hi there guys,

Thanks for posting.

mrchew007 - Could you post your speedtests please?

WayneA - Can you tell me if the connection drops sporadically or is it permanently not connecting to your phone/s?

What phones are you using?

Is 3G enabled on them?

Have you recently changed SIM card?

If this isn't a permanent issue, please let me know the speedtest results if you do a test when you've got a connection, compared to when you haven't.

Cheers,

LeeH

Hi Kay,
