MMS NOT WORKING

When connected to the sure signal mms will not send or be received.

I have tested it when the sure signal is switched off an they work fine.

I originally had the first sure signal and had it changed to the newer one, both have the same problem.

Hi vallylad27

Can you text the word 'WEB' to 40127 so we can check you have the correct MMS settings? If that does not work get in touch here so we can check your account has been provisioned correctly :).

Thanks

Hey thanks for the reply. Did some digging around on the weekend after I posted the question and managed to fix it myself

Hi valleylad27,

That's great news! :smileyhappy:

Out of curiosity, how did you sort it? If you can post directions here, it may help others with similar issues down the line.

Hi myrtle13,

If you’ve sent WEB to 40127 and you’re still unable to send MMS, we’ll need to check your account.

Email us here and we’ll be with you as soon as possible.

Thanks,

Andy

Hi lendal,

Can you answer the following:

  • How many times did you try to send a MMS?
  • What, if any, error messages do you get?
  • Was this all on the same day?
  • Can you browse the internet on your phone whilst it’s connected to the Sure Signal?
  • Is it only MMS that are affected?
  • Are you still facing the same issue?

So we can look into this a little deeper, can you provide the following please:

Your Sure Signal serial number.
Your speed test results from here.
Your ping test results from here.
Your external IP address from here.
The results of a traceroute.

VSS Traceroute command

On a PC:

Click on Start and select Run
Type CMD into the Run box and press enter/click ok
A black box will appear.
In this box type tracert 212.183.133.177 press Enter
Paste the output of this command into your reply.

Thanks,

Andy
