My sure signal will not connect after a period of being turned off.

I am now on my second SS but am still having trouble getting it up and running.  I changed the first one after never being able to get it online and have managed to get the new one working for a week.  I switched it off after my sons returned to school but have since been unable to get it to connect.  I have had it switched off for weeks and have had it switched back on for a couple of weeks.

The serial number of the SS is 40114276757, model number:9361 home cell V2-V

Re: My sure signal will not connect after a period of being turned off.

Hi davidfarnf,

Thanks for your post here.

I have taken a look at your Sure Signal for you and as it has been switched off for a while then switched back on it has lost connection with the server.

Due to this I have updated the location profile for you and also re-synced the device, please can you test this for me and let me know how you get on.

If you are still having issues please can you let me know what lights you are seeing solid and flashing and also what happens when you try to make a call.

James

Re: My sure signal will not connect after a period of being turned off.

Hi James,

Still no joy I'm afraid. Although this could have been my fault. I haven't checked here in a while (foolishly), so was unaware of the changes you had made. A couple of days ago I decided to press the reset button to see if that made any difference. It didn't, but may have undone all your hard work. Im sorry if it has. At the moment I have a solid signal bar light and nothing from the phone light. The other though they both suddenly started flashing as if the box had been turned on and off again but know one had touched it.

Thanks for all your help,

David

Re: My sure signal will not connect after a period of being turned off.

Hi davidfarnf,

Thanks fro getting back to me.

I can see that the Sure Signal connected to the server again last night at 21:36, can I ask if you are still having the same issue and is the Sure Signal still showing the same symptoms?

Also is the other Sure Signal still working OK?

To help identify exactly where the problem lies please can you let me know the following;

Do you pick up signal from the Sure Signal?

What happens when you try to make a call?

What happens when you receive a call?

Are both Sure Signals on the same Broadband line?

Has the Sure signal that isn’t working been left on since switching it back on?

If you can let me know I will be able to look at this in more details for you.

James

Re: My sure signal will not connect after a period of being turned off.

Hi James,

I only have one sure signal box, I had to take the first one back because it wasn't working so maybe that is why you are getting two on the system.

At the moment both lights are flashing in unison. I don't pick up any signal. When I try to make a call I get nothing, there is no ring tone or answer machine or anything. When I ring my mobile from the land line phone it goes straight to voice mail.

I hope this helps,

David

Re: My sure signal will not connect after a period of being turned off.

Hi davidfarnf,

Many thanks for getting back to me.

I think I was getting a little confused when reading through the thread as you had mentioned both box’s.

However, it does sound like the Sure Signal that you have could be faulty and as a result we may need to arrange a replacement for you.

So that we can do this I have sent you a PM with details on how to get in touch with our team directly, please follow the instructions on the Pm and one of the team will be able to look at this for you.

You can find your PM inbox here.
