Hi Apps64,

Welcome to the forum :Smiling:

I’ve taken a look at this and your Sure Signal is showing as registered on 3/12/2012 but this hasn’t yet connected to the network.

Please can you try a factory reset as follows:

  • Hold the reset button till all the lights come on or flash (about 30 seconds)
  • Keeping the rest button held, remove and re-insert the power lead
  • Once all the lights come on or flash, release the reset button
  • The VSS should come online within the hour

Let me know how you get on.

Thanks,

Jenny

Thanks Jenny ,

I tried the reset as you describe but holding the reset button for 30 seconds or longer does not cause all the ligths to flash , however I continued the process steps anyway.

The flashing internet light stops for a while after I power the unit backup with reset button pressed in , but then its back to a slow flash as before.

Is the factory reset process for the new V3 units the same as for the previous versions?

 Any further help appreciated

Thanks

Jenny

Hi there Apps64,

Thanks for coming back to us. The IP is on the white list so that's not causing the lack of connection to our network.

The trace route looks absolutely fine and the speeds are within the parameters to be able to create and maintain the connection.

Are there any other devices connected to your router via WiFi that may be competing for bandwidth? If there are, could you disconnect them and see if this overcomes the lack of connection? If it does, please add your other devices one at a time.

Failing this, please could you try the VSS on another connection such as at a friend, neighbour or relative's house?

Also, could you confirm which lights are lit on the VSS, whether they're solid or flashing and what colour they are?

Thanks,

LeeH

This is EXACTLY where I am with my SS3.

Factory Reset simply doesn't work as stated. SS was working perfectly until 2 weeks ago ..... now totally useless!

Help!

Thanks ......., but I'm now sorted. Seems Vodafone quietly sneaked in an extra couple of ports that needed forwarding while no-one was looking!!
Figured it out. Where do I send my CV?

Im Having  aproblem with my V3 suresignal box , I have had it for about 5 monthsand it has been workign with the odd blip.. but it has recently started to intermittentely work for about a week. I decided to restart my router before i did this the suresignal has all three white ligths appeared on but when I rebooted my router and restarted my suresignalthe sure had one flashing white light comes up then nothing happens and the sure signal reboots its self again and again and wont come back one.

I reset the suresignal but now its doing the same just keeps restarting it self

So I have:

Restarted my router

Reset the sure signal by holding down the reset button for 40 seconds then turning the unit on and off but this has not resolved the issue .

Can Vodafone tec team check if my sure signal is syncing or if the device has broken down.
