No Network Coverage

1) Does the issue happen in just one location? If so, how far do you have to travel to regain service? Yes mainly in the Whickham area where I live, as soon as I'm out of this area (3 mile radius I would say) it works again.

 

2) What is the full postcode (e.g. ST1 1AA) of where the issue occurs? If you don't want this showing on the eForum, add it to your profile here.

3) Does the issue occur if you try your SIM card in a different phone?

 Yes

4) What errors are seen or heard when the issue occurs?

 No signal, can't make calls or send texts at all

5) Does this happen on 2G, 3G, 4G or all?

All

6) When did you first notice this issue?

Over 2 years ago (I've been complaining since and still waiting for a solution) I've tried new SIM cards and I've had various phones during this time too. 

7) Is the issue permanent or intermittent? If intermittent, are there certain times of the day when it occurs?

Permanent issue - I work from home half of the week and it prevents me from getting work done!! I've resorted to going to work at Starbucks on some days.

Hi,

 

On zooming out on the map on the Vodafone Network Checker I can see that some issues exist.

 

When surrounding masts are at issue this can sometimes affect local masts as Vodafone perhaps re route network traffic to compensate. 

 

"We're trying to fix a network issue which might be affecting calls coverage. It’s still being worked on by our engineers. We'll update this page as soon as we know more."

 

Maintenance work too is being reported. 

 

"We're doing some work on our network in this area to improve your calls, texts and data coverage. Sorry if you notice any disruption. We're expecting to have things back to normal by 6pm 09 Nov 2016. Everything else should be working fine.~"

A couple of viable solutions are :

 

A Sure Signal device for a one off fee of £69 that creates a 3G signal in the home. 

 

If on an accepted tariff and using an eligible phone there is Vodafone Calling over wifi.
