No lights on my sure signal V3 box, not even a power light

Hello

i have a Vodafone sure signal box which I've had a for a couple years now, over that time it's worked absolutely fine.

however today I've noticed I have no phone signal, so I checked my sure signal box. There is no power light, or flashing lights underneath, I've tried in a different power socket, the power socket in the sure signal works so power is coming through the device.

im at a bit of a loss now, I've had the device not work before, but it's always had lights flashing, especially the power light.

im assuming the device is broken, unless anyone else can Put some light on the situation?

Have had the Sure Signal working for several years - suddenly it won't connect. Nothing has changed on the setup - no new equipment/phone/sim - all the same.

The red power light is one - the two white lights keep flashing. Eventually they stop - and restart again after about 15 minutes. I've been through several cycles of reseting the Sure Signal - which has always fixed things in the past - but no luck now.

Done the full reset: press reset button until lights come on, remove power, replace power (reset still pressed), hold until lights flash. Leave several hours. Done reset with and without ethernet cable plugged in. Ethernet socket displays steady orange light - flashing green

Have also reset the BT hub several times. The Sure Signal box shows up in hub device list. I have also enabled port clamping in VPN.

Hi Peter,

I think there is a problem with the Sure Signal and BT at the moment. Athough there hasn't been any offical anouncement, there does seem to be a lot of people who are with BT not being able to connect their SS,

http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Vodafone-Sure-Signal/sure-signal-not-connecting/td-p/2424593

Regards.

Mike.

The sure signal box has just connected again - after about 10 days of trying.

If somone at vodafone did somthing - thanks.

There seems to be a lot of discussion specifically about SS/BT Infinity problems (and the usual buck-passing) - perhaps this got fixed?

This issue has now been resolved.

Moving forward you may need to unplug your router and Sure Signal for up to 10 minutes, before reconnecting them both.

Is my experience unique

I had a BT Infinity problem a week ago and my Sure Signal has never worked since the BT line was re instated

I spoke to Vodafone support and had a really unpleasant rude agent who at one stage told me that my product wasn't a Sure Signal!

He finally told me that there there is a nationwide outage between BT and Vodafone; which I don't believe. Also his accent was such that I struggled to understand what he was trying to say to me (and no thats not a racist comment, just a fact). We spent 5 minutes before I understand that I should be lokking fo a "phone" signal and not "four" signals

Is there a nationwide ouage? If not any ideas on how I restore my mobile phone coverage

No there certainly isn't a national outage. My own Sure Signal is working perfectly on my BT Infinity connection.

However, there clearly is an issue between BT and the Vodafone Sure Signal but it isn't affecting everyone by any means. No one seems quite sure what the problem is or how to fix it and both sides are blaming each other.

Thanks Thats what I expected to hear

As it happens I am thinking of switching to BT anyway this might just make up my mind for me. One provider of the lot would take away this issue
