No lights on my sure signal V3 box, not even a power light

Hello

i have a Vodafone sure signal box which I've had a for a couple years now, over that time it's worked absolutely fine.

however today I've noticed I have no phone signal, so I checked my sure signal box. There is no power light, or flashing lights underneath, I've tried in a different power socket, the power socket in the sure signal works so power is coming through the device.

im at a bit of a loss now, I've had the device not work before, but it's always had lights flashing, especially the power light.

im assuming the device is broken, unless anyone else can Put some light on the situation?

VSS3 stopped working this weekend, for both registered phones. It has previously worked fine for many months and nothing has changed at my end. Have tried all the usulal resets etc, but still not working.

Hopefully someone can investigate - here is the requested data -

Hope this can be speedily resolved. Thanks, Benjy.

Sorry, I should have said that lights 1,2 and 3 are solid (i.e. all OK) but light 4 does not come on and no 3G signal received by our phones.

I have the same issue. Happened this weekend, no changes my end.

Anyone else?

My Sure Signal V3 is now working. Because there seemed no proper response from the forum I looked further.

Following Vodafone's on-line query system, I was eventually able to select the option "what to do if your Sure Signal has stopped working". Yippee! After 60 secs of hourglass churning, it came up with the answer "Sorry, can't find any answer to this question"!!!!!!!!

So on to Customer Services by phone. Except the phone number shown was Vodafone 191 - which I couldn't access because my SureSignal and hence my phone doesn't work. Found the landline number (03333040191), and after many layers of options spoke to someone who passed me on, who spoke to someone else, and came back to me with message that they would reset the SS from their end and for me to wait up to 6 hours and it should be OK. Seems to be OK after less then 2hrs. So thanks for that.

Which leaves me with a question for Vodafone - If it is so simple for Vodafone to remotely reset/reboot/update/whatever-it-was-you-did my SS, then why is it so complicated for a customer to get it done?

And regarding other posts, I had a similar experience last year when I went to BT Infinity - my SS V1 stopped working. I gave up trying to get it sorted and bought a SS V3 and, to tell the truth, it has been a better experience since then (until this weekend). I personally think there is some problem between Vodafone and BT.

Also, it's clear from all the tracecert data that the SSs are communicating with the net. But most, if not all, of the traces end at 85.205.0.86. And who owns this? Vodafone Germany!

Hi

Hoping someone can help...

Sure signal works fine and then every 4/5 days it dies with the lights displayed as (Power - flashing, Internet - off, In Service - orange, In Use - orange) . I turn it off and turn it off again and it then continues to work but eventually the same happens again.

@benjg1 – With this happening every 4 - 5 days, it sounds like your internet connection is cutting out.

Please speak to your ISP, regarding this.

Hi,

Thanks for replying. When I look at the logs for the internet it has not disconnected during that period.

Regards

Ben

i had no power overnight snd following it coming back this morning my sure signal isn't working.  I have a Red flashing light and two Amber lights. I've tried resetting, disconnecting and reconnecting multiple times.  It's worked fine for 5 months prior to this.  Any suggestions?

Thanks

IP address is 86.175.20.83. I've attached a photo of my ping test.  Can you help please Vodafone?
