One phone connected ok, other not

Hi, Just enabled my sure signal 2 and it connects perfectly to my BB (if you can see my account number starts 07795) very strong signal, but my mobile (0777) which my Vodafone account is registered to, and I received the confirmation text to,  doesnt connect and signal is still poor.  I have switched fone off and on but still weak signal.  Any ideas ?

On a PC:

Click on Start and select Run

Type CMD into the Run box and press enter/click ok

A black box will appear.

In this box type tracert 212.183.133.177 press Enter

Paste the output of this command into your reply.

Just for info the Blackberry remains 5 bars strong with no fluctuation, my mobile varies between 1 & 2.

I've give the Sure Signal a re-sync to see if this gives it a kick start. Can you factory re-set the box to complete the process?

 

VSS Factory Reset

* Hold the reset button till all the lights come on or flash (about 30 seconds)
* Keeping the rest button held, remove and re-insert the power lead
* Once all the lights come on or flash, release the reset button
* The VSS should come online within the hour

hi, I did the full reset as per the instructions and it took approx one hour to come back onlne, but still it does not recognise my mobile (starting 07771) although Blackberry is still fine.

Can you confirm what phone you are using with the 07771 number?

 

Does this phone get 3G signal whilst you’re out and about?

its is a Motorola SLVR L7, and yes 3G is fine out and about...  just signal weak at home..

That isn't a 3G handset which is why it's not working with the Sure Signal. Only 3G enabled phones are compatible.
